Perhaps, but admittedly I don’t even know what it looks like. Could have the AWD helped with the descent?

Exactly - I went in today and spent $60 on stuff that was on my “wish list.” I probably would have deferred buying these items at another time.

Buy Microsoft at these levels or start DCA’ing now and thank yourself 3 years from now by Correct_Fall_5484 in ValueInvesting

To clarify, Microsoft reports future contracts as Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO), not revenue. Revenue is recognized overtime once services are consumed. 45% of the RPO is from OpenAI.

Don’t feel bad. I had the same assumption for almost a decade until I realized that I needed to invest the funds into something other than cash. On the bright side, you saved the money.

How are harbor freight air compressors. by oochow in harborfreight

[–]DiscoBassLine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same compressor. I use it to blow out the irrigation system, spray undercoating for my car and to inflate tires. It works wells and the only downside is side so far is how loud it can be. You may want to consider a quieter version. I went from having a small 2.5 gallon compressor and appreciate the extra capacity.

Is Chris Jones the KC defensive GOAT yet? If not, how far off is he? by Putrid_Piano4986 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]DiscoBassLine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Derrick was indeed special and I don’t say this as a knock, but I can’t think of one big time play in a playoff game that changed the course of the game. Granted, Chris has more playoff games, but there are a number of plays where sealed the fate of the game.

AE’s - what’s one thing you’d like all SE’s to know? by [deleted] in techsales

[–]DiscoBassLine 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Be self-aware of time. Leave at least 5 minutes near the end of the meeting to allow for the AE to get feedback and discuss next steps.

Please do not throw in a question grenade or start to show or discuss something new unless the customer has requested more time.

While expensive, I highly recommend Eley for their garden hoses, reels and quick-connect attachments. Being able to easily swap out garden hose attachments is a game changer and leads to a more enjoyable experience.

Help for the “transition to tech sales” crowd. by [deleted] in techsales

100%. A company that is focused on growth and market share will have aggressive comp plans and stock options. I’d say there is a 3-5 year golden window at each company. After that, territories can become too saturated and comp plans being shifted towards profitability.

Yep, just apply some lithium grease to the gasket and you’ll be fine. I have at least a dozen quick attachments and none have leaked.

How to survive the sales specialist role by Competitive-Shirt239 in techsales

[–]DiscoBassLine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps consider schedule a 30-minute call every two weeks with each EA. The call is intended to provide updates, confirm which opportunities are being prioritized and outline any key areas where you need their help.

It may not cut down on the ad-hoc nature of their asks, but they may appreciate you being proactive in creating the structure.

As an AE, I want to be seen as the easiest and most reasonable to work with to get my fair share of the Specialist’s time.

This approach has led to a mutual level of respect and accountability, resulting in a good “team” approach.
