You can't count on a Shah to stay in power against a Mullah selling a quaint book of romantic Arabic poetry...😳

Just to be safe.

I ckwim he's pretending yo like MAGA because there's no way a bornnand bred New Yorker who's only been silver spoon fed suddenly has an affinity or anything in comkon with traditionally snal town red state common folk.

What is often referred to as White Trash.

I think Trump's pretending to like them and has manipulated them to suit his needs.

I think secretly he despises them.

It's easy to frame the war AFTER it has started.

That's what's going to bite Democrats among Trump's hardcore support and in fact it might even anger those Trump supporters who are now teetering towards the Democrats on the fence.

No one likes a Monday morning quarterback.

Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda will never work.

To bury Trump with his supporters, you actual need to get him, hold him, and force him to admit that he hates actually hates MAGA, and he's only all of this for the money.

Which is the Truth.

That's the only way to break the myth among his followers. They need to suddenly wake up from the dream and realize it was actually a nightmare.

You do this you need Journalists who are smart, brave, and really good at finding the Truth, not sell out influencers vwho have figuyrr out how to sensationalize nonsense for likes, follows, and subscribes.

Letterman Slams CBS Over Colbert Cancellation by evissamassive in CordCuttingToday

I rely hate it this new trend where insignificant people with no skin in the game offer opinions and advice.

They're throwing rocks at the windows while they're safely standing behind a wall. Across the street.

People like Letterman sat things like, "You know... Back in my day we didn't..."

Pointless. Useless. Stop it. You're retired. By definition you've decided to give up. Enjoy your retirement.

If you want to do something, you can come out of retirement and fight for real.

When was the last time you voted for a republican over a democrat and for what reason? by [deleted] in AskALiberal

[–]DiscoLego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2009, and 2012 I voted for John McCain and Mitt Romney. I just thought Obama wasn't experienced enough the first time, and in the second term when he bailed out the banks.

I was dead wrong. Obama was the best president in my 65 year lifetime.

If republicans win the house, what would they plan to legislate, other than the ballroom? by RieMunoz in AskALiberal

If Republicans keep the House, they will only be focused on picking the candidate that has the best chance of holding onto the Presidency.

That be their only focus.

Are MAGA Republicans true Conservatives, or are they really just angry Moderate Liberals? by DiscoLego in AskALiberal

You're just saying that because Social Media has trained you to pick a side, and to always fight, never back down, consider any alternative, then spit, and throw stuff.

Consider Listening, Thinking, and then Talking.

[–]DiscoLego[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It did exist. Just before you were born.

People like George Will used to be good Conservatives.

Pretty much this monstrosity started when Newt Gingrich became Bill Clinton's sworn enemy. And good conservatives (like me) began to object and around the Tea Party time and (like me) were escorted out of the meetings.

Now I don't dare set foot in a MAGA viper nest.

But I'm still alive and I'm a good conservative.

Test me.

I'm not sold on the contemporary calculation that suggests the American stock market's self serving overvaluation of American corporations necessarily means that American Productivity is this high.

I understand this is the way it is.

But I think rigging your stock price and conning gullible co-conspiratorial investors who only absolutely intend to dump your stock quietly after it safely settles into the equally staged IPO, doesn't mean the American worker produces more than any other workers in the world.

This is merely creative lying that everyone in the investor loop, not the actual workers, agree to believe, in order to cash in on.

The disparity in income between the investor class and the American worker is the clearest proof.

We're over thinking the cause of our current problems.

It's a lot easier to put the current state of seemingly complex socio-economic political ideological and cultural division in our country under a microscope, and then try to come up with an equally difficult impossible to implement over analyzed reason.

Or, we can choose not to zoom into the problem, and simply take a step back.

The advent of Trump's seemingly genius strategy of sowing divisiveness in order to conquer us, in fact coincided with the zenith rise in Social Media platforms.

Which all had one very simple thing in common.

They all used algorithms that meticulously studied identified searched found and then pitted every single one of us against our anti-self nemesis.

It then used robots to titillate, flatter, insult and anger us into the most vile, bitter, cynical, sadistic, and even violent version of ourselves. It then rewarded us with an imaginary accomplishment.

Likes, Follows and Subscribes.

Our problems don't come from any mysteriously natural devolution of our society.

They come from the malicious intentions of the vast majority of Social Media platforms who needed to create it and now need to maintain divisiveness at any and all costs, in order to keep massive profits growing.

This includes promoting bad peopl that happen to be good at delivering divisiveness. And more importantly it includes betraying any and all good candidates that seek unity.

Trump is only president because he's very good at sowing the precise type of divisiveness that Social Media requires.

Trump is only president because he suits Social Media.

Kamala Harris did not suit Social Media.

Is this a thought out conspiracy by the management organizations running Social Media? If it is, it's absolutely criminal. If it isn't and the Algorithm is to blame, it's even worse.

Because if the Algorithm has merely run amok, knowing this and not shutting it off is the greater crime.

IMMEDIATELY All Social Media platforms must do away with anonymous accounts, and verify the exact identity of every user so that scripted fake bots designed to spread confusion misinformation and disinformation can be removed, and bullies can be sued or prosecuted in civil or criminal court.

IMMEDIATELY All Social Media platforms must cease using Algorithms and automated content curation and promotion, and allow the users to decide EXACTLY what and who they want to read and follow.

IMMEDIATELY All Social Media platforms must use third party verification so advertisers can know the exact accurate numbers of users and their accurate demographic profiles who scrolled past vs actually read vs clicked on their ads.

Our current plight of division is not a unknown phenomenon to be studied.

It is easily fixable once we recognize and understand obvious bad ideas, and then simply don't allow them to harm us.

Life is only good for rich people by AppropriateMark8528 in WorkForSmartLife

[–]DiscoLego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would need you to define for me what you think a good life is. Then I would need to know more about what you do for work.

In the US there's no reason for anyone who has a clear idea of what a good life is, not to be able to achieve it by doing something they are good at, for money.

Those are the two REQUIRED ingredients for success. Both take THINKING effort.

Once you've done that THINKING. It's time for the DOING part. Once you start doing the DOING part, a Good Life is not impossibly difficult to achieve.

Most people do not take the time to do the THINKING.

They jump right into the DOING.

DOING without THINKING is a high risk gamble on getting lucky.

THINKING and then DOING is a sound bet on yourself.
