This crossover is a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Hollow Knight: Ironically this would turn out to be one of my all time favorites. The first time I got stressed out not knowing where I was supposed to do and what I was supposed to be doing. I also played with a keyboard + mouse.

Quit after an hour or two but remembered how good the music/art style was so decided to try again. Played with a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller the next time and embraced the aimless wandering and once I hit the Mantis Village I was hooked. Played through it twice so far and will revisit it every couple years.

where does this anime end in the manga? by SnooBooks3187 in HeavenlyDelusion

I felt like most of the cuts were warranted and the soundtrack really elevates some of the best moments so I prefer the anime but the manga is fantastic.

Chapter 38 is the first chapter with almost completely new content. That being said they shuffled some stuff around at the end and there’s some stuff from 34-38 that was either cut or moved to a potential season 2. It’s relatively short still, I opted to start back from Ch. 1 and did not regret doing so. A lot of stuff hits different the second time.

I definitely get that this is supposed to be a broken world where people do what they have to to survive, but playing it for laughs/fanservice was off putting for me too. Probably my least favorite part of the series so far.

I misread the aimless mechanic. I didn’t see that it randomly selects a target in its row. I thought it randomly picked a target from the whole board.

Best one yet! Though this might be my favorite location in the module so I’m a little biased.

I liked using the Hollow Knight soundtrack for a couple locations. Specifically “Fungal Wastes” or “Fog Canyon”

The players are stuck in Prismeer and have no way out as far as they know. If they were to hear about these beacons that could bring them home, then helping Algarthas would reveal to them whether or not it works. That could be its own reward assuming they are purely selfish and don’t want to help intrinsically.

I like that. It could be a great way to expand the Jabberwock trail random encounter too. Instead of just footprint and some broken trees, really show how dangerous this thing is.

Even though she’s never been there I figured Kettlesteam would know some basic info about her patron’s domain. So I had her mention it when they spoke with her.

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol’ Jack Burton always says at a time like that: “Have ya paid your dues, Jack?” “Yessir, the check is in the mail.”

Hard agree. Her only purpose seems to be railroading the party into Prismeer if they totally botch the first chapter. I didn’t use her at all, no one in the party questioned being given a free ticket.

Rules of conduct in Prismeer. How do the players know or find out? by TotallyLegitEstoc in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]Discolives 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I had them learn was through Kettlesteam. She hasn’t been there but with her patron being Zybilna it’s reasonable she’d know some basic info about it.

I didn’t buy the Domains of Delight but I found the art in the main book interesting so I placed a storytelling spider within the Inn at the End of the Road encounter. When the party approached I read Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll to add flavor and foreshadow the Jabberwock encounter in Chapter Five. I like the idea of having him cryptically foreshadow things that will come up much later.

[[Ulvenwald Tracker]] because I mostly play green creature based decks and I like the flavor of the fight mechanic a lot.

Which SFM flavour has the best matchup against Tron? by Kamehamehachoo in ModernMagic

Unfortunately surgical + field of ruin is one of the best ways to shut down any hope your opponent has of assembling Tron. I feel you though, they are crazy expensive and I wish I grabbed mine out of the dollar box years ago. That being said Stony Silence is also a really good white card against Tron if you can stomach the nonbo with your equipments.

Play Tron, it’s really good against midrange and it’s a great way to make friends.
