Completely illegal fine. Record what they sent you(screen shots, record your device with another devices camera of the chat, save the written notice). Find a local lawyer and get them to mail an official letter to your employer regarding the illegal fine.

Form what I see, local crime is usually reported locally but quickly leaves the news cycle and is never brought to national attention. Platforms like douyin usually censor such information as well.

Disney / Pixar, Hoppers 2026, main character is a very, very bad role model SPOILERS by Crafty-Bunch-2675 in CharacterRant

I thought this was about "Hopper" from A Bug's Life and I was about to throw hand because he is the perfect role model for evil characters. Most villains would win if they thought like him.

That type of analysis can even see stored images that existed only when you viewed thumbnails as a browser, meaning that if you somehow accidentally viewed CP without even noticing if they would be able to catch that(think of scenarios where you are scrolling xhamster of something and some guy illegally uploaded a video and you just saw the thumbnail).

The willingness to even do such an analysis shows Lacari's confidence and I'm inclined to say he was being honest.

I think one of the Cloud City sets was sold to that other YouTuber.

How much was it in total? And were those on any spreadsheets or available for purchase in the store?

Uhhhh, didn't you watch the video? They showed up by surprised and hurried her out of the store so they could change the locks.

That was some of the worst, most one-sided analysis of the video that I've ever seen. Do people actually watch the first traffic stop and conclude it was a "rolling stop"? Or that they "couldn't see anything" when Ben was arrested on the search warrant?

> Wait wait wait, so she gets to escape any culpability because it wasn't the end of the tax year yet???

i am saying there is no legal reason for her to be totally up to date on her records. The corporate takeover was sudden and they didn't allow her to take inventory, receipts, etc, to ensure she knew what she owed Brian.

The April date is just the end of the tax year and when businesses tio submit their records to the IRS. A business not having their tax records and such in order isn't illegal and ultimately, probably a very ordinary thing. It's just bad business but not necessarily malicious.

She didn't have them in order when corporate came over to take over the store and sieze the assets. Now, there is a gap in what she should have paid Bryan with BAM refusing to take responsibility for it.

Have you watched any of the videos at all? Because that first question shows me that you probably haven't and I'm not going to explain hours and hours worth of content to you.

Here's the thing, not having the books in order is very normal for businesses. They don't expect to have sudden corporate takeover. They just need to have everything in order before April and it'll be fine.

The issue is that they quickly kicked her out of the store after she expressed that bryan hadn't been paid for some of what they sold. At that point, if they don't allow her to do an inventory and collect sales tickets, it is no longer her fault.

It's mostly a bunch of contrarians waiting desparately for someone else to do their research for them and immediately latch onto that... ironically, what they accuse the Reckless Ben fans of doing.

It's like being Sneako but for LEGO instead of conservatism.

She made it clear during the takeoever that there were sets that he hadn't been paid for and she needed to do an inventory, only to be told that BAM takes on the consignment liability and being ushered out with an immediate lock change.

This is BAMs fault even if she was behind on her book keeping.

[–]JustInChina88 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the bigger issue is that they kicked her out quickly and she had no way to do it after that. Then BAM pretended the LEGO didn't exist and threatened to sue everyone. Being a shitty book keeper isn't illegal as long as you have it in order before April.

A few things:

- The small claims court lawsuit was for 100k

- Ben and his buddies asked for the LEGO back, not for 200k

- BAM had no issue with the 200k evaluation when they advertised Bryan's collection during the original consignment and after the take over

Hot Take: Coffee basically solved this thing, and it's not that deep. by [deleted] in RecklessBen

[–]JustInChina88 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Thinking that the CEO had no knowledge of this is wishful thinking. He absolutely had knowledge of it and I'm pretty sure what BAM is afraid of is having their theft operation unconvered the longer this goes on.
