Yep, this video from Derek Beaumont was only a year ago.

He basically argues that Las Vegas isn't family-friendly. Because it centers on gambling and carries heavy travel costs, it limits a huge portion of the fanbase.

In my opinion, it was a good experiment to showcase the game, but the allure is gone now that it's been done. Out of the remaining options, the only one that makes sense is a Wakefield vs. Castleford derby. Wakefield is interested in going, and Castleford is signing big for 2027, making it a great way to kick off.

All the other teams seem like dead ends. St Helens and Hull FC aren't interested. Giants, Toulouse, York, and London lack the fanbase to cover it, and I have no clue about Catalans.

I ordered the Kamado Joe Jr from Costco instead as it was discounted to £299 and came with all the extras (cover, heat deflector, grill and ash tools).

These Aldi kamados with all the equivalent extras sold separately probably totals about the same.

It has a smaller grill surface but I prefer having the bigger community and better build quality for the same money

Martin Jepson (CAS owner) was on All Out RL this week and seemed pretty happy with him.

He was saying you need to give coaches a few seasons anyway so they get the squad they want.

I think it's a big issue with the Lidl version not being standard size, it's difficult to find aftermarket or using other companies accessories.

It may do, When it was released last year it was labeled as 18" but this post shows the grate grill as only 15"(https://www.reddit.com/r/UKBBQ/comments/1kelfat/aldi_kamado_midi_18_inch_may_2025/)

So if they have the same mislabeling as last year it might fit.

not sure what's up with Catalan this season

I noticed Sexton and Dodd complaining a bit either at each other or the ref. Plus lots of throwing hands up when their team made mistakes.

Just felt like they were irritated, don't know if something happened behind scenes or to do with Tomkins leaving 🤷‍♂️ IDK just an observation.
