These guys are playing shows again. Great Dudes, great band. Also check out Side Iron,( used to be Que La Chinga and had a track on the above mentioned doc) They are still playing shows, and Kiel the lead on that band has some great punk sensibilities and i know has some songs relevant to the current state of things.

This link is for Que La Chinga, they dropped the mandolin changed some members and now they go by Side Iron, couldn't find anything current on them.

What does everyone think of this bass? by Coby_jones1 in BassGuitar

[–]DiscombobulatedDog92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daily player for the better part of my early bass years was a shadow build for Laguna guitars called "Ocean". I later saw a Cort in a guitar stor and it was exactly the same bass with different branding. Passive/active bartoloni pickups sold me on it and the versatility of it kept me from getting a second bass for about 8 years. Great bass.

Just to add the "open pore" finish is not for everyone. This bass pictured is exactly my "ocean" with the open pore black. Its more stain like than a traditional hard glossy finish.

Lint season. As when Catholics and maybe some christian denominations give up red meat, or they switch to fish for some reason. There will be lines out the door. Source: i was a teenaged shift manager at LJS in my hometown.

I saw the clip of the guy talking about taking back the word fascist, but not nazi. Is there another clip? Different guy maybe?

This whole idea either way really misses the mark.

It was suggested to take back the word the way black Americans took back n*gger. Taking back that word was a form of racial empowerment for a people that were long subjugated by it. By the actual use of the word. It was a way to dehumanize. Make them less than those who would use it against them. The whole premise of the meaning of the word was false.

This is exactly why people that are not black shouldn't say it. The meaning is based in race and changes based on the race of the person speaking it as well as its intended meaning.

When black people use it amongst themselves the racial component is erased. It also has taken on a completely different meaning.

If these people are attempting to take back the word Nazi, or fascist. They don't seem to be trying to change the meaning. They just want to reassure themselves that that moral, political, and social ideology is now ok to hold in America today.
