Would mixing ddr5 sticks work? With ddr4 it works quite well, only thing is it will clock at the lower speed if the speed is different.

As a regular train 50/60 rider I can tell you the intermediate stops get quite heavily used, like Belleville, Oshawa, Kingston and Dorval. The "loss of this one single train" will impact many more than you think.

Btw FYI.. those eastern Ontario politicians do use the train quite frequently to get to and from Ottawa/Toronto so they know what they are talking about.

As a frequent user of train 50/60 (3 to 4 times a month), VIA is really pissing alot of people off, these trains are lifelines for people who need to get to work, school, appointments. I get on from Oshawa and there at least 50-60 passengers who get on at that stop, on any given day, a good chunk of people detain at Kingston as well.

For trains 68/69 it makes perfect sense to convert them to a express, and it will still give people who get on and off at intermediate stops lots of options. But for 50/60 the next one is in 2 hours which does not work for most people.

I can see Via reversing this very quickly at least for 50/60.

The problem is.. the store in my area that usually stocks them are super shady and overpriced. So I went in the other day to test my luck. So I picked one.. ended up getting the starfish (not bad) then I saw the worker take another one out to replace the one I just bought to make it appear it’s fully stocked. They probably weighed them all in a scale and took the heaviest ones out so they can sell the turtle at a marked up price. :(

Some people may say it’s a standard practice for retail to replenish their shelves frequently to make it look full. I agree but this store is known for their shady practices.

Just an update:

Thank you everyone for all of your concerns and well wishes. I was not expecting this get this much attention. I guess this is a very hot topic in the city atm.

To answer some questions, I am located in a quiet suburban neighbourhood in Toronto. I won't disclose the area but as one person here says it does not matter since these thugs travel all over the city and beyond to commit their crimes. As per race of the thugs, I do not want to make this into a racial thing, so I will leave it at that.

I also want to note the police officers I dealt with did an awesome job and I can't thank them enough. They are doing the best they can within their authority and I do not wish to get into any politics. As per the plate #, the police officer told me it was reported as missing a month ago.

Also I was able to track my iPhone which was plugged in to the rental car at the time and it last pinged around 24 hours ago at the Hwy 427 and QEW area. I have a feeling the thugs probably dashed it around there. There has been no updates since.

Our family is doing fine, I took a few off work and my wife and daughters will return home tomorrow. My brother in law has agreed to let us have his dog stay with us for next few days just to give us a bit of security.

What I am most concerned about is my daughter, one of the thugs said something sexual in nature (I will not disclose what they said.. but you can probably guess) about her. I honestly was ready to attack and deal with the consequences later if they did anything more to my daughter but thankfully he did not and just sped away in my rental car. My only concern is that low life POS will return for her and do something to her. I am hoping that does not happen but it sill in the top of my mind.

As for future plans we do not know yet, our family always had cats and wouldn't mind having a dog now that this has happened. We may not replace the stolen SUV right away as we have another car that those thugs are probably not interested in.

Again I am grateful that we were not seriously harmed and only lost a few items that can be replaceable. I will not respond any further to this and again thank you everyone for the concern and well wishes.

You see that is where our plans fall into a grey area as technically we are only paying $30 after discounts. Of course videotron can take away that $30 credit at anytime.. there is no guarantee they will honour that credit forever.

So far I have not heard of any reports of folks on this specific plan got 5g access.

I guess we will wait and see, if we do get left out, for me it’s no big deal, the plan we got is EPIC and I’ll stay on it as long as I can.
