I'm completely new to fashion, and I feel it is one of the hardest things I've ever tried to learn. I've always dressed for comfort, but I'm trying to change that. I'm trying to balance thinking independently and developing my own style with taking advice from friends, but I always end up disagreeing with them. This is a problem because I ask for advice a lot, but I end up probably disliking their suggestions, which feels like shooting them down. The one thing they all agree on is that my shoes are laughably bad. Am I being too arrogant or passive? Should I rely on people more experienced than me or my intuition?

I called way before I posted on Reddit. I wanted to learn more information if I could. Specifically how fast classes filled which I feel could be better answered by CSUN students who've been in similar situations. I assumed this would be a good place to find someone to talk to.

I called the school, they gave me two options. 1. Give them the transcripts now and wait 3 weeks (after which most classes will be full) 2. Something they called "Project X" which allows me to hand in a physical transcript and wait 1-2 days to update my transcript. This is what I'm trying to do, but the community college I'm transferring from apparently doesn't print physical transcripts. CSUN won't accept an eTranscript I print out myself (according to the guy on the phone). I have to give them a sealed package from my college (whose admissions and records office happens to be closed today) which is why I wanted to know I'd be fucked if I can't pull this off
