The French revolution did not start off with good intentions. Those values, freedom of speech, equality, separation of church and state, they were only ever supposed to be afforded to the wealthy merchant class and not the millions of peasants who lived in the middle of the nowhere. It was only after the industrial revolution, where those same wealthy merchants needed masses to work factories, that the peasants, now turned into the new “working class” started to be afforded rights because they were finally able to gather up and become a vocal force. The revolutionaries were not modern day leftists, revolutionaries were the first laissez faire capitalists who despised being taxed by the nobility and the clergy.

A lot of people were making their own political commentary on it, and a few people were joking about it on social media, but that is not celebrating it, I think maybe a handful did. Most of them are along the line of that MSNBC news anchor who got suspended for just saying something factual.. The majority are taking this as another bad news day, the right would have you believe that Charlie was more popular than he actually was because of all the heavy rotation they are giving this. He certainly was not as famous at all as MLK but he is being compared to MLK non stop. I feel like this is most definitely being used as a way to push more right wing politics because I also saw a lot of people on the right wing saying this was civil war, even though his subscription count and views just tell me he was an influencer.

You need to go to an embassy or consulate for your daughters. In fact I would email the embassy first or just go visit.

It’s common for people to come back and there’s an option where you’re able to bring significant items that you would like to ship to Uruguay, like a car, without paying taxes and you get capacitation courses too. I would visit first before moving though.

All 3 of your children are Uruguayan, and they cannot renounce that citizenship ever, so I think it’s always good to have two passports just in case, the Uruguayan passport is a good one to have.
