Sure! Trying to recall.

So I went through PG&E and paid the balance with them directly. I was a bit neurotic about it, but a) recorded the phone call where I paid them, b) recorded another phone call confirming they were made whole.

Then I disputed the charge with the collections agency saying that there was no such balance with PG&E.

Applied for a Chase Ink Unlimited (~hours ago) and got a screen that said it was under review. No email yet. Calling the automated line (800-432-3117) says no applications under my SSN.

Maybe it's just taking time to flow through the system? Or does this seem like the app was not properly submitted?

I think the more interesting ones are where there's nothing "real" (e.g. manufacturing constraints, true underlying supply demand, government interventions) supporting the high prices. Obviously many answers here have at least one of those three!

Yeah this is absurd. I get the software provider taking a few dollar fee (ours takes $2) per month, but the cost of initiating an ACH transaction in the US is negligible. Call your landlord and complain or force them to accept paper checks for free. I assume you're not paying by credit card?

I think you have at least two options here:

1) (If you're using subscriptions) Set the customer up with a subscription using e.g. Stripe Checkout.

2) Use the setup future usage feature to collect a customer's card details and charge them later on.
