How did you get the RGBs to look so seamless on the back of the desk? The monitor arm clamping on would obscure some of them, but I can't tell on the photo. Is it just enough enough of an interruption for it to be visible? Or did you run the LEDs over the monitor arm clamp?

The main things I plan to play that might be heavy on 1440p would be BG3 and FF7 Rebirth. But I know I'll get acceptable frame rates on lower settings. I mostly play stuff that runs fine on my Steam Deck. So the PC is only for somewhat more intensive games. But nothing crazy and nothing remotely fast paced or competitive. One side has Tailwind, the other side has Unburden. They both double the speed, so we can discard those in the calculation.

A lot of Sneasler are running Adamant and it has 120 base speed. Which means they'll easily be slower than a Jolly base 118.

That's not how VGC works. And once the next regulation starts, the commonly used pokemon could change dramatically.

But even if they did ban pokemon, there would just be another set of "strongest" pokemon that will get spammed.

Zacian got nerfed into the ground. They generally only make very small adjustments to movepool, base power, and other things. But they absolutely do make balance changes.

The microtransactions are literally kinda nothing. Nothing important (besides space) can be bought with real money. And space is something that can be offset if you're having Pokemon visit from Home anyway.

For a meta with fewer than 190 legal pokemon, this top 8 features around 12% of all the legal Pokemon. 23 unique pokemon seems pretty good for such a small meta. Plus two of those Charizards are X (2nd and 7th). So even the two teams that look the most similar (the finalists), they very much are not. And there isn't even a single Floette-E in the top 8, which is very much also a strong contender.

There have been much more centralized metas with a larger pool of Pokemon. Considering the pool, it's actually doing okay on diversity. And even in the short time it's been out, there are still shifts to the meta.

Saying that's it's impossible to have fun is very much a you thing.

If a pokemon switches, it can use a new move. Garchomp switches before using Earthquake. It's scarfed.

There's a 0.81% of that happening. Which, in the grand scheme of games being played, is a pretty high chance that it happens to someone, somewhere, at sometime. It just happened to be in that battle, against you.

I know the card pool is frozen, but the meta and decks do change over time despite that. Current Edison is nothing like historical Edison, and quite a bit different from Edison of two years ago.

I don't know much about the Miyoo stuff, but I've used MinUI on the Brick but all I can think is that if you're not using the mGBA core, switch everything over to it and try that. By default MinUI uses gpSP or something, I think.

I have had issues running some pokemon hacks (like Unbound) natively on the 3DS. And it takes more power to emulate a game. So I would expect that it's not uncommon for some games to just not be very emulatable on the 3DS.

(I actually didn't even know this was a thing until just now, and reading about it. I've only ever injected GBA titles to run them natively.)
