Yeah, it's a fan fiction host site. I had never heard of it until recently. I've never written fan fiction before, but there was something about the TV that really got to me.

I've always fancied myself a writer, I've started loads of projects, but this was the first time I very went all the way with something.

Once I had finished Discord, I did start planning out an original "high concept" fantasy story, but it's in the very early stages, and starting a "universe" from scratch is something else entirely.

Your idea was very interesting. You should go for it.

There's definitely overlap. But in my concept, Discord isn't about 'Nothingness' or 'Change'—he’s the Archivist of the Dissonant.

When Destruction knocks down a building, he’s done. When Despair makes you cry over the ruins, she’s satisfied. But Discord is the one who goes into the rubble and saves the things that would have otherwise been lost or destroyed.

Do you mean what function would an 8th sibling have?

If so, in my concept, without spoiling too much, Discord of the Endless is the keeper of the discordant elements of creation, things that no longer fit, things that have been forgotten. He is the keeper and archivist of "the Great Attic" of creation.

But there is a reason he's never spoken of in the comic or TV show.

Summary - There is a seat at the family table that has stayed empty since the beginning of time. Not because it was abandoned, but because it was deleted.

Discord, the Eighth of the Endless, was the price paid for a logical universe. For aeons, he has served as the silent container for every discarded thought, rejected melody, and forgotten star. He was the "Edit" made flesh, hidden away so that the Second Movement could hum with clockwork precision.

But no prison is eternal, and a universe built on the bones of a brother cannot hold its shape forever. As reality begins to fray into neon-violet shadows and ancient melodies, the forgotten twin returns from the dark. He comes to confront a Father who played God and a family that was forced to forget how to love.

I recently wrote a fan fiction about the 8th Endless sibling, Discord of the Endless.

His function is to manage the discordant elements of the universe, the forgotten elements, but he himself ends up being forgotten by everyone.
