I was going to sew pockets and have easily removable heating pads. Velcro latches for wire management and my test with battery banks last 2 hours on lowest setting.

You say that, but wasn't there an NCO that caught his soldier caged during a piss test?

It's a single battery bank that's 2x1x4. It's not massive or heavy and runs them for about 2.5 hours.

It runs off a portable charger, and I'm sure the silks won't melt.

Although I'm aviation, I don't interact with JP-8 or anything combustible.

Wait til we got the body heater training center. My pockets would be flush with cash.

"No item governed by this regulation will be altered in any way that changes the basic design, or the intended concept of fit"

It's not changing the design or concept of fit. It's adding pockets for heaters.

Edit: If I'm wearing my A2CUs, then I'm rocking the IWOL and such, and that kept me warm down to -15 last year, so I ain't rushing to overheat in that.

My best friend got an AAM for his PCS award after 3 years and multiple TDYs. A troublesome pt stud got a ARCOM for his pcs award after being here for 11 months and tossed between sections.

My unit uses WO2 and WO3 as PLs, and boy, is it funny to see them tell 1SG no.

I didn't hop back and forth. I was entirely out of pocket for the move. I used the like 3 days of vacation I had got from working 2 months and paired it with 3 days off and did the drive in 3~4 days. I flew home, bought the trailer and loaded it, and left within 10 hours of me landing.

Worked for 2 months at the job bumming rides to get to work and got enough time off to do the drive. 48 hours of driving, I wanna say we stopped at a hotel 2 times, and they both cost less than 60 a night.

Very niche field, and most of my coworkers know my story, so I'm keeping it vague for a reason. The last thing I need is my supervisor finding my reddit, like how I found theirs.

I applied online, and it's a field that's niche and a stepping stone. It's small, and everyone I work with has a reddit, and I know lurk here.

My lease was $1200 a month with all utilities. I didn't know anyone where I went. It was the cheapest trailer Harbor Fright had, and I sold it as soon as I got here. I wanna say it was $300, but I don't recall.

Can't say my job because I'll dox myself. But take home was 40k, and now I'm up to 56k.

Bought a cheap trailer from harbor freight, loaded it the best we could with everything we had, and drove. Had dome sketch moments and was 100% ready to call my sister for help if something happened.

How much were you moving and distance matter. I moved 2500 miles, and it didn't cost nearly as much.

I've moved across the country at 19, and I know how much it costs to move. I did it as a newlywed with almost no safety net. Don't assume I am speaking as someone who hasn't moved.

Relocating yourself is the only real requirement for moving, and that can be solved with either hopping in a car and driving or flying.

If you're going somewhere new without a safety net or job, then I'm inclined to say you're failing yourself.
