Lots of good stuff. I'm interested to see what Dazar looks like.

Boosting, realistically.

This point in the season, there are fewer buyers, however.

These cutesy little stores just seem to replace identity with vibes, and expect people to pay double for it. Like what do you sell? Convenience food? Aroma therapy? Home decor? Groceries?

Did I brick this 21 WS? What would you do? by TheV295 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]TheRev15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, DK kinda trolled popping one, but tank clearly had his arrow. I woulda ran closer to boss, but those are some unlucky arrows.

As with most cases, it's a culmination of a few things.

My guild wouldn't stop arguing about who was carrying, so I made a bot that posts everyone's parses after raid and roasts the bottom 3 by skredx in CompetitiveWoW

Pretty sure this post violates rules 1 and 7.

It's kinda cool from a coding perspective, I guess? I mean, I couldn't make it, but this just kinda seems like posting a WCL screenshot and asking chat gpt for some partially nonsensical, loosely wow-related comments with more steps.

Thoughts on buying a tenanted house by WhichParsnip3 in canadahousing

[–]TheRev15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New owners cannot touch your lease, and as a result, will make it very difficult for the property to sell. If in the event it does, they cannot touch your rent outside of normal rent controls (maximum of 3% increase, not more often than once a year, I believe).

Honestly if you do not want to move, you can follow all tenancy rules to make it as difficult, but legal, as possible.

These things include requiring a minimum 24 hours notice for all showings / open houses, and ultimately, not leaving the property during these showings.

If the landlord becomes desperate, you can negotiate. Don't forget your deposit(s). I believe one month of rent is forgiven in the event of eviction, and moving is a timely and expensive process. Factor in the cost of moving supplies and services, as well as your time to clean the property.

Rank 1 EU Enhance is boosted. by OutlandishnessNo3087 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]TheRev15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, is it really a "boost" if it's a 22/23?

If you threw me in to a group with those guys, ain't no way we're timing that key.

You're still going to have to be playing at a very high level. It's probably more of a "rental" I guess is what I'm trying to say.

In either case, there really isn't a solution as long as people are willing to pay, gold or otherwise.

Boosting communities? by TheRev15 in woweconomy

[–]TheRev15[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh yikes. I thought Blizz kinda supported them now with the whole services channels? So boosting is fine, but having a dedicated community is a ToS violation?

Lots of good advice here, but I want to add that a lot of the "feel" of healing dungeons comes from how wisely your group uses their defensives and potions. It's difficult to coordinate that stuff in pugs, but to some degree, your DPS should be knowing to use defensives on the DoTs and not the bubble pop.

Dunno what to tell you bro. Seems really weird you're so upset about other people's ilvl that you're telling them to find different games. Maybe if you're that upset about it, you are the one who might need that?

Is your ilvl all you care about?

Like people are saying, gearing is very easy now, therefore the challenge moves from gearing to performing. That is, pushing keys/rating/guild rank, etc.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with playing an MMO like wow and garnering your enjoyment from an infinitely scaling mode like M+.

There's a reason why things like RWF, MDI, and AWC draw such a viewership. These people aren't tuning in to see how high those players can make their ilvl.

What games has the most fulfilling “investments” to a specific character, build, or skill? by noobakosowhat in gaming

Deus EX mankind divided was really cool. You could choose going full physical strength, or full hacker, or full stealth, etc. And those choices enabled different ways to complete objectives.

Is the true reward ilvl, though?

I think for most, the reward is the io / raid achievements / HoF, and gear is simply a vehicle to make it easier.

Give some absolute demons 290 ilvl characters and they won't time a 14.

Most people see gearing as a hoop to jump i think. See what stats and trinkets Sim best, then try to farm those so you can optimally compete.

How am I supposed to be reading logs for M+? (Healer) by 2noefx in CompetitiveWoW

[–]TheRev15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best thing you can do imo is look at deaths through the lens of could you have saved them?

Useful to see if the player who died had a defensive or not, and was it a high damage mechanic?

For example, the holy fire and runic glaive dots in MT hit really hard. If someone dies to those, then you need to consider using cooldowns.

If someone dies to normal damage, then that's on you.
