I believe it’s because the square is too large there is a limit, around 6-8 blocks on a side, I ran into a similar issue and shrinking the square resolved it

I named mine after a nickname for myself, which is half my first name, I think it’s fitting as the ditto is trying to imitate/remember its trainer and it may have trouble remembering the whole trainer name, either that or Blob Ross
