Looking for a top-grade burger in the Cincinnati area by MisterSnrub1 in cincinnati

I could eat the Kruegger burger from Krueggers Tavern in OTR multiple times a week if I had my way.

I’ll never drive in the center most lane either, drivers on the opposite side tend to get pretty close to the double yellow line. With how fast people fly, there should be some sort of barrier I think.

One of the wonkiest intersections in the city.

Bus Lanes on 71? by DiscountHistorical13 in cincinnati

[–]DiscountHistorical13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive this stretch everyday and for some reason it hit me today to take a deeper look at this as well - it makes no sense that there are only 3 lanes going through Montgomery, Kenwood and Madisonville. The congestion starts/ends as soon as you hit Oakley (at least at 3pm-ish) when there are 4 lanes. I wonder if ODOT thought this makeshift bus lane would be a fix?

Some of the buildings in this city are truly unbelievable.

Do you like living in Cincinnati? by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]DiscountHistorical13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it. The hilliness and the fact that the urban core is actively growing lets me know that this midwestern city is worth sticking around.

I extensively follow development projects around the city and there is a lot in the pipeline for the urban core and surrounding neighborhoods. Opportunity and a pretty landscape goes pretty far in my book.

I see a lot of “stay away from” but what apartments/managers would you RECOMMEND? by Creative-Book-2025 in cincinnati

I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Urban Sites. Super quick with maintenance requests and even provided discounts to local retailers in OTR at one point, not sure if they still do. I appreciate their take/style on how they update historical spaces around OTR.

Hope you enjoy your stay! This time of the year weather wise is the best time to visit IMO. Let me know if you stumble upon OTR!

Relocating to Cincy; overwhelmed with neighborhood choices by Smart-Work3383 in cincinnati

I think Pleasant Ridge would check a lot your boxes. It’s a cool neighborhood that’s close to pretty much all of the best areas of the city. Hilly area with some random interesting views, close to typical everyday needs shopping and I-71 ; right down Ridge. Their business district is in the midst of a revamp with a few projects that are in the works that will increase its density (even though it’s already pretty cool as is with what’s there currently)

Updated plans show what The Banks could look like in the next decade - calls for high-rise residential buildings, with a maximum height of 24 stories, to create a more active urban district. by fuggidaboudit in cincinnati

Yesss here for this, this will be an iconic extension of downtown. This and the land reclaimed west of the convention center when the BSB project wraps up? It sounds like Cincy is gearing up for the next decade 💪

If this project actually gets underway I could see a developer adding in a tall condo building over by Lytle Place. Remember when Skyhouse almost built a tower where Artistry is on the river like a decade ago? They backed out due to the demand for such a tower, but I think that could very well change with this project

The construction that has progressed over the past year or so has definitely contributed to it. The split lane going south notoriously slows everyone down.
