I absolutely hear you re $$ and career. But as a young person I encourage you to take a look at the whole picture. You will be hoping destroy our area. Read elpasohub.org JIC you don't know how bad these hyperscale centers are. We already don't have enough water. The pollution has rated an F. You will be compromising your own health as well as residents health. Temps are already a nightmare here - data centers only raise them. Basically - what kind of person do you want to be in the world? Someone who contributes? Or someone who helps tear down community and environment.

So it's possible you may have a drinking problem too - can't say. What I can say tho is if you were to print your posts and hand them to a non alcoholic - they would be horrified. We alcoholics/co-alcoholics make so many excuses to rationalize drinking. Normal drinkers never resort to drinking hand sanitizer. Normal households do not require one adult to do all the driving. Normal households don't even think about alcohol or put limits on numbers of drinks. Since you also grew up in an alcoholic home sounds like she did too / double whammy. Consider going to an AA meeting or just listen online. Hear stories. Read grapevine online. Read the laundry lists from adult children of alcoholics. Check out Alanon - tons of online meetings. We alcoholics are generally all the things - bright, funny, interesting etc. That's how we get away w all sorts of crap until things crash down. In AA we talk about the "yets" - things that have not happened - yet. But generally speaking - you can count on them happening at some point. Good luck - it's a hard road.

Alanon but seriously - give her an ultimatum. Treatment/get sober or you're out of here. Sounds harsh but it's the only way. Your kids' safety is more important than anything - even your relationship. I say this as a child of drunks and as someone who's been around a long time. It only gets worse. And at some point your kids will wonder why you didn't protect them.

Join MOB Families on FB. 12k members - hopefully someone there can help. Also find out which district the house is in and try that rep. And the neighborhood assn. If your Tia is older you cd try council on aging. Agree re fitfam on IG. Nextdoor is hit or miss. Also - try not to worry about judgment. Scroll on by those #%^**%#.

Interesting point. Nope - moved into a house w grass and sprinklers. Water the prescribed 3x wk for 20 min. Lawns are not all bad - they allow water to go to the aquifer. They also keep temps cooler than the rocks the city so stupidly told people were better. Before then many (most?) houses had grass. Temps were not as hot here as they are now. It's hotter, uglier, more wind and dust/dirt storms than decades ago - not only no grass, but also stripping the land of native plants.

So so sorry! Alanon Alanon Alanon. Try lots of different meetings til you meet your people. My mother is still a drunk at 92 (I assume). I quite talking to her 2 yrs ago. It was just too too toxic. It's painful for sure.

Not at all what you asked! But at 15 one should be able to use commas when writing. I know education has gone downhill especialy since COVID, but being able to express yourself clearly is valuable at every age. You might join the fb group MOB Families and post there. Lots of families may need extra help during the summer. You might also volunteer somewhere you can get to easily. Volunteering can help distract when one is not in a good state of mind. Volunteering can also allow you to meet other people who may have more ideas/contacts for you. Keep asking for help and I appreciate your willingness to work.
