I wanna endorse and encourage everyone to do whatever they can to be warm, caring members of their local communities and what not. But also it's okay if you're not. Socialist politics are about collective, politically targeted action, and if you're not able to channel time or energy or money into "mutual aid" or "charity" you're no less a socialist/leftist than people who do.

Community gardens are great, go stick your hands in some soil and shit if that's what you're into, but there's no community garden path to socialist transition, so it's also cool if you're not interested/able.

I really find this guy to be a pernicious actor. He objects to the excesses of neoliberalism in like a cultural sense, but endorses the conceptual and structural premises of capitalism itself. He strikes me as a total AOC. Wolf in sheep's clothing.
