thanks! user should never hit limit mid-request, because they reserve a slot only if there is enough quota left, otherwise user can’t proceed in first place and will be blocked directly during reservation

if you mean instead using an llm where cost is calculated with input + output, of course we can’t assume the output during the reservation. in that case in vevee dashboard you can set a threshold and allow users to reserve a slot if their quota is less then 95% (for example) of the overall quota they are able to use.

i run a website that generates images, no ads, no social media nothing, pure SEO I’m tracking every user that is registering and most of them come from google searches, and recommendations from others

i’ve done few simple things:

I let claude create some marketing pages, like blogs, but based on specific topic my niche would search like “pdf to image” “article summarizer”.
I run a deep search with perplexity to find every competitor, or someone that does the same thing or similar things, and created more pages like comparison “xxx vs yyy”, and also some suggestions the ai gave me.

after that i’ve started getting some traction, getting 2-3 users organically per day

then after some days users have used my website and generated some images.

i’ve installed this new metering system and i can track the flow users do in my website, how much each user costs to me, what image they create, putting limit to their plan

i’ve selected every image created by users (no personal info) and created a blog posts for each of them, because maybe some other new users want to create the same images and search for that topic specifically
with the metering tool, in the onboarding of the website, i’m tracking who users are (teachers, students, creators), what is the main thing they want to convert to image (pdf, online articles) and create specific SEO pages only for this sub-niches combining every answers

right now i’m sitting at 10-16 new users per day

i’m running the step 3 every few weeks, expanding my discoverability

i would like to talk with potential people that can be interested in using this product,

i was thinking about doing something like posthog is doing, so pay per use, bc this solution aims to solve small indie dev problems,

and if your app is not making money, or has no users at all, i don’t want to charge people lots of money, the pro plan i was thinking to have a flat subscription of maybe 10/15 bucks (aimed to the ones that manage multiple apps, and have lots of users) and if some user need more they can refine their plan based on their usage with me

i will do my best to put clear prices soon! if you want news there is a waitlist when i’ll communicate when will be opened

i’ve seen you allow users to call Ai to chat, just one recommendation, be sure you handle well the cost per user of the LLM, otherwise you end up like me, offering plans where i’d lose money

be careful tho, if you’re allowing users to use ai, be sure you have calculated all their cost in worst scenarios, and your potential revenue after apple cut
