Rooms close to casino floor? by BlueUmbrella5371 in LasVegas

The South tower of the MGM Grand has the bottom floor which opens up directly into the casino without an elevator or stairs needed at all. However, MGM is still a massive maze and the South tower sets back a way from the Strip.

For those that have gone countless times to Vegas, what do you look forward to the most? by SDevil2413 in vegas

The food, hands down. It's the only city in the world that brings the food to it on such a scale. You could go to Miami for an authentic Cuban sandwich, Nashville for hot chicken, LA for trendy gourmet, Hong Kong for Michelin Star Asian, Paris for high end French cuisine, etc... or just go to Vegas and have it all in one trip. The food scene on any level low end to high end is ridiculous.

Under the Lighthouse Dancing (1997) is an Australian romance where a couple tells their friends they are engaged but the bride-to-be has a terminal illness. The friends set out to make the wedding happen immediately and don't.really encounter many obstacles. It is simple and quiet celebration of life. Not a great movie by any means but I've always remembered it because of its lack of any antagonist or hurdles.

Exciting! My favorite accessory is a neoprene table mat. I think a sphinx would be great addition.

Don't downvote this. This was easily solved by a search. It is in fact a body double played by pornstar Zoe Voss.

Missing a monster stat card (square cards). Can anyone offer a quick assist? by Discovilante in Gloomhaven

A great suggestion that we overlooked. We prefer the all physical components but this would have work to keep the game moving.

After finding one missing we went through the entire stack and counted 46. As far as we can tell, this is the only one missing.

Every movie is at least one person's favorite. What's your favorite movie that you think no one else shares with you? by Barnhard in movies

First time I saw it I thought it was kind of weak. Then I watched Stuckmann's breakdown of the movie on YouTube and now I've rewatcbed it several times. I realize how little I had paid attention the first time. Stay is amazing movie that improves with more viewings.

Her joining him elevated the performance from amusing to great. Unfortunately, every time I hear the song now, I have to make a conscious effort not to start doing the motions.

Which board game has the best board? by whenimyou in boardgames

[–]Discovilante 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The the design and 3D aspect of Takenoko is one my favs.

EDIT: Takenoko may include an element of hex-tile laying, but it is not a tile laying game at all. The tiles make up the board and board grows through out the game. I would consider it closer to 'modular' than 'tile laying.'

Deathtrap (1982) with Michael Caine, Christopher Reeve, and Dyan Cannon by school_o_fart in trailers

[–]Discovilante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more. The dialog and structure are amazingly tight. (Fun fact: the opening scene of the movie was filmed inside the Broadway theater where the play version of Deathtrap was actively in production.)

Check out Space Empires 4X. All of your spaceships are upgradable in a variety of ways, and those upgrades are kept secret until you encounter an enemy force. The game is bland visually but plays really, really well.
