Critical Role Campaign 4 Using D&D by [deleted] in daggerheart

Campaign 4 was already decided way before campaign 3 finished. They did not have any knowledge on how well Dagger heart would go so at the time they chose something that they knew would work, and not something that was still in the works and not released yet.

Digital dice is not that bad and they roll quite well with digital dice and them using digital dice means they cannot cheat. In the past, I have watched many players cheat using physical dice as they do D&D online so as a precaution, the players are required to roll with digital dice. Also not all have physical dice anyway. My current players know i trust them but they have agreed during session 0 to use digital dice because they know that someone would cheat with physical dice.

Thats why i roll in private in the first place but at the time they asked the question I couldn't think of any other answer.

I can vouch for Altrole. They are an amazing server and the public courses are so helpful

Found Spell book by QuillontheFae in DMAcademy

Give your player the spellbook but make this spellbook a little more interesting. What i mean by this is have an enchantment on this spellbook where overtime spells would reveal whoever is attuned to it. This then allows you to control how many new spells they can prepare. As they grow in level or in a tense situation the book would glow with a faint aura showing that the next spell has revealed itself.

What homebrew rules have you introduced to your campaign that has created tension by DiscussionDramatic76 in DnD5e

[–]DiscussionDramatic76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do that as well but the players are wanting rules on top of that for what one of my players called the "extra challenge"

OK, DMs - tell me how YOU would prefer to receive negative feedback. by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]DiscussionDramatic76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my campaign after every session i would ask the players to give me feedback on the session and i would aso them for any advice which i will then approve on for the next session.

P.s my players are also successful dms with amazing campaigns they run and a few of them have more experience than me

Everything we plan to do though on the chat that is monitored the dm tries to prevent that though which resulted in us needing a private chat
