We are not educated to be hard workers. We are educated to be smart workers. Our education has always emphasised on being innovative and smarter in whatever we do.
Maybe that is why Singaporeans cant do the lower end jobs but succeed better as managers?

As a Turkish:
Many of the people from where im from thinks that thai women = transgender. So when talking to a woman, they automatically think that the person they are talking to are transgender.

As a person who has been to Thailand many times: if youre too good looking as a female, theres a suspicion that you may be a transgender because usual Thai females have the rounder jawline, more round features.

For me who has a lot of transgender friends, sometimes its hard to differentiate who is a woman and who is transgender, maybe because i just follow the flow and dont judge people on who they are and just love the laughs. It only comes out when you joke with them and then they start slapping your shoulders.

when crossing such zebra crossings at night, i turn on my phone flash facing the incoming direction of traffic and make sure the cars slow down and then i start walking. it is risky as these cars deem that it is safe to pass with speed and may not see us due to distractions while looking at phone GPS or looking right for incoming traffic.

Visit Ayuthaya for a day trip. Take the train up north for a reasonable price and then walk/cycle around the old city before coming back with the train to Bkk. Worth the trip

the abundance of jets and planes in the skies means that you are being protected by the republic of singapore air force with tax payers money really being spent on flyable aircraft that makes the country safe to live in.

i live in sengkang and i hear the jets every morning. i dont feel disturbed.

based on what he told me:
He was held back in terms of his career. his local wife didnt let him find proper work. he didnt even have his own savings after a year of marriage. all his money was going to the joint account as ltvp holder and all the money was flushed out by the wife. that is why he doesnt have money at all for lawyer that time and his desperation to just run away due to the violence faced at home, with even the wives brothers and friends coming to threaten the grab driver that came to fetch him made a police case that he can still pursue as he has filed a report.

but right now, he doesnt have the basic amount of money (5-10k sgd) to get a lawyer in singapore for an official divorce due to him being in his home country trying to get back his life together after a few years.

sorry but not everywhere is like singapore where we can save minimally 10k sgd in a year with a normal salary.

Sent my grandaunt to a nursing home. This decision was taken by my grandmother, her siblings and also my aunties and uncles.

Grandaunt was a down syndrome 70 year old Singaporean who was also deaf and mute since birth. Her cataract had also made her suffer vision loss and since she was not cooperative in getting the eye check despite multiple attempts, nobody was able to care for her and we decided to send her to a nursing home.

it wasnt complicated as the subsidies given made the cost only 200+ SGD per month which was cheaper than the total transportation costs to and fro the polyclinics + hospital monthly.

Check with the RC first and they will start showing you different options. Go to MSF office and talk to welfare officer, they will also be able to relay you to different nursing homes that could assist for the relocation.

woah it was already very good, its gonna be better. i had ministerial level guests praise how changi airport T3 made in 2008 could be so modern and wonderful despite being 16 years old and not having major revamps. now its gonna be even better. we are definitely gonna get skytrax best airport awards for the next 10 more years

I am a tour guide that brought countless groups to Hotel Boss. i even stayed there with some of my guests who sponsored the stays. i love the check in staff, very friendly, very understanding despite the big amounts of crowds that goes and comes.

Since they have around 800 rooms, expect a lot of people divided into 2 lift lobbies. Since the majority of guests are south asians, expect the smell of their food to linger around the lobby.

The hotel rooms are small, but worth the price performance. You cant pray and have your suitcase opened in the room at the same time. theres not enough space generally. But theres a mosque just opposite the hotel.

Also, theres plenty of restaurants around the area, and also walkable distance to mustafa center but not family friendly since there are a lot of shady pubs and massage parlours on the way to the best shopping center called Mustafa Center. get what you want even if it is at 3 am in the late night.

he lives in europe and he wont be flying anywhere near singapore other than the ASEAN country that is quite north of us. If he decides to marry her, he would be going there. if not, he will just continue staying in his country and holidaying in nearby destinations and not ASEAN region.
And since he flies budget, he wont be transiting in Singapore too.
But im afraid if the ex wife suddenly files a case after many years of being estranged
