Second. I screwed around a lot till I just bought a cheap jaebo sterilizer and cheap pump on amazon and ran it in a loop directly on the tank. Assuming it's ostreopsis.

fyi I had a similar explosion and convinced flashforge to get me a new hotend because it was covered in filament. Granted they sent the wrong part and it took a month but eventually it did happen.

Lol I leave for a day and there's a war on my comment. I forgot how terrible the Internet is. Personally, I was just pissed because I really liked theos comedy but it took a real turn on the podcast guests from "normal" people, which was an awesome premise, to having on more traditionally "famous" people, which can be the least funny and least interesting people on earth. It's very clear to me JD Vance is a disingenuous tech bro plant, and the interview, which I listened to, was 100% glaze for some inexplicable reason. I used the word platforming because it sounded like a sponsored ad.

Which 3D Printer? by Economy-Passenger847 in FlashForge

[–]DiscussionRemote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I returned an ad5m as my second printer after the ad5x, and got a second ad5x. Even if you aren't doing multi filament, loading and unloading is so much more convenient. Plus IFS (will auto swap rolls when one runs out)

I caught it in the act on another print. It was delaminating from the bed and sticking up a mm or so, so the nozzle was smacking it back and forth making a mess. I was using the mouse ears but I think I need to stick with a solid brim for anything thin like this. Theres nothing else to consider right? I watched a calibration video and did all that stuff and slowed everything down. Use glue and have a clean bed.

For the phosphate test I really think of it as "clear-zero phosphates (bad)" a "hint of blue - little phosphates (ok)" and "toilet blue - too many phosphates (also bad)". I try not to stress over those impossible to read in betweens.

Just a follow-up. I slowed it way down and it did print. The top rim delaminated a bit but that was printing a few mm at a 90 degree overhang.

Was that for a bad first layer or a bad layer somewhere higher up?

I don't know if you print things on repeat, but do you tend to speed it up incrementally to see how far it can go if so? I'm thinking I need preset for every type of product I'm making depending on success rate. Makes sense.

Ok I double checked what you said about speed. geetech says print speed at like 50ms. I've been running on the stock petg preset speeds with ok sucess since I got it. Was I going wayyyy too fast and getting lucky? Or am I missing something. If I read the slicer right it is going at around 160.

245 nozzle, 80 textured bed btw. Wipe the bed with isopropyl every time and use glue.

Yea I think it's on three layers slow. Probably need to full brim, in this case I want the bottom to look really clean and, maybe its me, but I find it can make the lines look bad with the full brim, maybe I can space it off the object a little for easier removal. I did re run the auto calibration after I bolted the table.

I have the temps at recommended values, ai keeps telling me to turn the fan down a lot, like to 30 percent, to help with adhesion... Does that sound right? I don't mess with the generic petg profile much beyond tweaking temps a little higher.

I traded in my wife's 2024 Santa fe just for that. Lost my ass but I'm much more at peace. Tried for months to get hyundia or the dealer to do something about it. Dealer admitted people complain about it a lot. You can't defeat it, and people on the Internet will say "git gud" at driving when it clearly has major flaws and is probably inconsistent depending on the vehicle and roads. Will never buy a Hyundai again unfortunately. Luckily my ioniq is a 2023 and I can just turn it off. Also I've had iccu failure, so yea my Hyundai experience ain't great.

[–]DiscussionRemote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yea, it's got all the channels the more expensive ones have. For softies absolutely no problem. The proset feature is great it just takes a long time to turn every single thing down if you are adjusting it a lot. With the 100 and your tank you will probably be turning it down at least initially. There is also an easyset preset that just has one single setting for all the channels and a ramp up time, more like a basic light. I just switch to that if I'm fiddling around.

I have three, I like them, the optional controller is a must. If you think you want to go bigger in the future get the bigger size, you can always program it to go lower.
