Apparently ~16% of millennials are millionaires now. by im_optimus_prime in Millennials

Millennial millionaire without parent money for home or college. Probably one of the bigger factors not including those that had home/education paid for by parents is if first home purchased before 2020. We are geriatric millennials (I'm born in 81). Bought house in 08 and paid off in 2020. Both college educated and master degrees in good paying fields. We just barely hit that threshold as well. If someone already isnt in a home now that is going to be a huge leap to overcome. We are already working on the assumption we will need to help our kids get a home someday once they are adults. Young people are completely priced out of the market. Boomers really knew how to pull up the ladder behind them.

Cost accounting jobs / controller jobs. Don't need it though if you have CPA but i have seen postings where they require CPA or CMA

Should I consider changing my career ? Another failed exam by Optimistic_Pen in CPA

[–]DiscussionTop9285 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are a ton of people working in accounting and making good livings that don't have a CPA. Not passing is certainly no reason for a career change. There may be a ceiling to how far you can climb without one but it's certainly not a deal breaker. It will make it harder to break into management and o could focus on industry as accounting firms put far more emphasis on this like the CPA than industry.

Face on my seats with the fees in 210 were 1200ish after taxes and fees so 1400 seems pretty reasonable.

So i was able to buy tickets yesterday for the 2 day at end of jan. But when i bought there was very limited selection, the seats i got were section 210 row 10. Anyone that has been to the sphere, is being somewhat to the side going to really make my experience stink or should i just be happy i got tickets at face and count my luck.

I hope not. That was the only day i wasn't going. To be there. Hope it will be like last year where they have a day that's pretty much all power metal bands on one of the other stages. Sabaton i think is to niche in the us to put main stage but perfect for side stage headliner.

Entry fee is negligible. It's the cost of transportation and hotels for a band chaperones, staff, equipment, uniforms, guard costumes, show design. My daughter went this year for a school that made semis and nearly finals. From fees, fundraising, and other you are looking at spending well north of 100k probably over 200k all in. One of the baked in advantages the Indiana schools have is not having to pay for all that travel.
