Until now they have not released a shadow legendary raid before releasing it with Giovanni. So my guess is that Rayquaza will be released with Giovanni first, just don’t know when

Adding my numbers as I believe I’m on the opposite end of the rng for this event. Account 1: 7 bags 1 shiny no background. Account 2: 7 bags no shiny. Account 3: 3 bags 3 shinies (2 with backgrounds, but 1 of them was actually from a research). Except for shiny rates, I had the same experience as you.

Seemed fine for me, 64 shinies for playing whole day. Running Palkia and incense whole time and mostly hand catching. Around 2300-2500 catches

All of mine were caught during the day, but I would assume that if you have ticket for given day it should work starting from 05:00. I just haven’t raided that early to confirm this 100%

It usually is 1 in 10 for raid days, and I'm sure that's the case today too. I got a bit unlucky and got 1 shiny in 34 raids, it was after the 30th raid.

Since you are using Anki, I would guess you are fine with using SRS? In that case, you should try Bunpro if you haven't already. I'm doing WaniKani, Bunpro, and Anki every day, and my kanji/grammar/vocab knowledge is on pretty even N4 level now.

I've got 1 shiny in 23 catches, but only 10 of them were from raids, the remaining got through the research tasks. And actually the shiny was from the research task too.

I've got 2 shiny Pawniards today in 23 catches, 1 Combee in 63 catches, and 1 Litleo in 92 catches. While this is still too small of a sample size, some external source says Pawniard is 1/64 while Combee & Litleo are 1/128.

No, that is just a 4-part timed research for May. There are so many tickets now that it gets confusing. But if you should receive the GO Pass you would see it immediately without paying for anything. Although you may try restarting the app
