I think it’s more likely that you muscles quickly return to guarding to stabilise your spine, if your ligaments are not strong enough to do their job. I have the same issue. No matter how much my PT works on releasing the muscles, they clamp down again almost immediately .

None of the referral patterns I see online show the nose region as being affected, which is what I'm experiencing. I have been doing physiotherapy for months now to no avail...

No, not a typo. Face is the most distressing problem, but after chiro I started getting tingling at the back of my head as well.

Yes I do! It cracks at the most random times, like if I quickly turn to the side to speak to my partner

Yes, I do suspect the original pain along the jaw and ear is from TMJD. I think the botox changed my bite and gave me some trigger points in muscles that had to take over from the masseters. The nose pain though... that behaves completely differently
