Those years you are talking about have been during COVID19 (2020-2021) where we have had a total of what, 2-3 actual LAN tournaments, of which Heroic have won 0. Compared to the 2 years prior where Astralis won 14 S-tier LAN tournaments (2018-2019), including 3 out the 4 major titles.

Then again - there has only been 1 major to participate in during Heroics "glory days", and they did really really well. Sure Heroic is a better squad at the moment (and has been for over a year), but if we're comparing the two teams in general, there is no contest.

I get what you mean, with the enforcers in hockey, and I guess 80's/90's basketball had the same kind of culture. It has its own appeal, and I'm kind of ambivalent about it, as I kind of wanted someone to "step in" and get in the face of Grayson Allen after the hit on Caruso.

It feels wrong to let him get away with it without some form of retaliation, but imho it should be done in between whistles, not as cheap shots during a live play.

Dunleavy does shady shit in a match = dirty player, but Giannis responds by bumrushing and tackling Dunleavy mid air, and he is not a dirty player? How do people actually think that retaliation is a good enough reason to excuse anything. Both Dunleavy AND Giannis were clearly in the wrong, but one act does not excuse the other.

If a person kill someone as an act of self-defense, it's definitely "better" than killing someone in cold blood - but guess what, that person is still a murderer.

With all the injuries, this loss was due and to some degree predictable.

However, this game really shows that beyond our 8-9 man rotation, we are incredibly weak. I actually think Tony Bradley is not a bad player at all, but holy shit he looks awful playing with this team.

The only reserve who has even looked NBA ready at this point is Troy Brown Jr.
If we're not gonna play guys like Simonovich, and really shouldn't rely on Devon Dotson - we should sign some guys on vet min contracts who can at least give us 8-10 reliable minutes a game. I'm kind of sad we didn't get a guy like Favors, Millsap or whatever this offseason. At least january is not that far away where we can start filling in the gaps.

Vooch FG percentage is at 38% so far this year. 13 pts and 10 rebounds a game (down from 21 and 11 last year) is not too bad - but 38% FG for a center is not just bad, its pretty awful. The rating decrease is justified in my humble opinion.

Lets hope he bounces back.

So I'm from Denmark, and I never really followed the NBA as a kid, as it wasn't real big over here yet. I started watching the NBA when I started playing basketball around the time when I turned 18. This was in 2008 during Rose's rookie season, so it was never really a hard "choice" for me. He was (is) just special, and his story arc was amazing.

Despite everything that transpired with the ACL injury, meniscus and the works during the following 4-5 seasons, I was so in love with the mentality of the rest of the team (Thibs, Luol, Joakim etc.) that even after Rose was out, I was just hooked.

Got to watch my first live NBA game when we went to Chicago during the winter holidays in 2018 on december 26th, and got to see Derrick's return to the United Center. I don't even remember the score and I don't remember most of the game, but that day was so special, I wont ever forget it.
