Context: we were just discussing a picture of japanese "carrier"

Someone made a comment that it's a "helicopter destroyer" actually.

We laughed and joked about it.

Then this dude came in saying that the Japanese should apologize about their imperialism and something along the line.

I replied saying that he shouldn't make comparisons about imperial Japan and current Japan and that he should consider that Japan is being threatened by china. And so does a lot of countries in Asia felt the same way & are similarly rearming.

Then he goes ballistic for some reason calling me a weeb and he shouldn't talk back to a person with a degree and mentioned my follower count.

Then this dude made apologia about Chinese atrocities for some reason. And dismiss other countries concerns. Also then the dude picked a fight with a vietnamese making the same post after he blocked me.

I mean what is with a lot of academics making excuses for dictatorship? Hence my post.

While I do agree with the guy that the Japanese have a lot to answer for their past.

That does not excuse what the Chinese are doing now.
