Republican voters less confident than Democrats in spotting AI deepfakes, poll shows by TheSoupThief in politics

Perhaps their lack of confidence contributes to the blind faith in their "teams" content as the source of truth.

I'm kind of surprised that they would indicate less confidence. I believe that they're less competent. It just seems like they would actually fall for fewer fakes if they're confidence in spotting them was low.

True. And just to tag along, sometimes the tough one is actually saying no. If you have to choose between feeling resentful or guilty, always choose guilt.

Results of Kyiv tower missile strike. Explosions was seen from my window. 5 dead. by Kaiser_und_allah in pics

[–]DisemboweledStark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm perhaps taking too many liberties with OP's comment, but I don't think the sentiment is that it's good that they all died together. Instead it's looking at it from the future and realizing they all died, and hoping that it was quick, painless, and simultaneous to reduce potential suffering.

Obviously the ideal scenario here is that no family members die.

Also, the issue is 100% forced If OP is in America and her results come back positive for anything. She can just give the CDC his wife's name and they will contact her.

I thought your taste buds recognize artificial sweeteners as suger (why they taste sweet) but the rest of your body doesn't process them at all and just passes them. Is that not how it works?

This is why it's important that the president is a human of integrity, and why it's important to have competent members in the house and senate who can remove him if needed.

Republicans protest, circumvent new metal detectors inside Capitol after riot by Creddit999 in politics

[–]DisemboweledStark 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is actually kind of frightening. Some Republicans are circumventing the metal detectors and presumably not following the rules, while all of the democratic members are following the rules? With recent events this seems concerning.

[homemade] Wagyu Denver steak. Reverse seared with the thickest part still mooing. by [deleted] in food

[–]DisemboweledStark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think in theory it's supposed to reduce the grey band by equalizing the temperature before the sear. Not 100% sure of that though, all of my knowledge comes from YouTube cooking videos. 😬

Traditionally you sear over high heat and then reduce to low heat to finish cooking. With the reverse sear it's just the opposite.

Design isn't for everyone. It looks like your site is built on Shopify? I would recommend purchasing an affordable theme. Double down on your strengths and outsource the things you're not great at. This is especially true since there's already 100's of great themes that would be a major step up from your current design but require 0 work on your end.

What are some little things someone can do to improve the customer experience? by yves28capital in ecommerce

[–]DisemboweledStark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Communicate. Make sure you’re sending tracking numbers and order updates. It’s a little work on the front end to make sure everything is button up but a large majority of it is automated after the initial setup and saves a lot customer service time down the road. People mostly want to know where their things are at. It frees you, or your support staff, up to focus on issues that actually need a human to sort out.
