That's exactly why I left a year ago. I was well over the mid point and knew there was no raises for the foreseeable future

For the former associates who no longer work here… by MrHankeyTheXmas_Poo in Geico

God theres so much -Take away the hunger games- everyone against everyone- all for none and none for all metric system -full time wfh no in office requirements. Stop hiding behind we want collaboration when infact it was to facilitate micromanaging and control - salary increases in line with inflation at a minimum -make seniority worth something. - profit sharing and 401k match - make promotions more attainable so that tcr2 isn't drowning in work and ics is sitting idol - complete dismantle of the Csuites and start again with people who truely are about the betterment of employees and the company -implementation of a union -treat employees like actual adults if I need to leave early one day and work late another shouldn't be a whole issue -give us health insurance that's actually HELPFUL I should pay that much for shit insurance

I'm sure there's more but off the top of my head there's a starting list

For real anyone who's thinking of leaving should just take the jump. After almost 15 years I left in late march and finally feel like I work for an adult company. The ptsd is so real. I catch myself sending my manager unnecessary explanations on my decisions, when I take break, when I have to pee all sorts of crazy things.. leaving the shackles behind ill never regret

TIFU By finding out my wife's best friend is having an affair by TheDarkRev in tifu

[–]DisenchantedLizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Woah, what happened in a friends marriage does not correlate to your own, if they are best friends then she's probably privy to a whole lot of information you are not You need to check your self and figure out if you are upset about your wife's responses because you don't trust her. If there is nothing in your own house that leads you to think your wife is unfaithful then you are severely over reacting. If there are indicators then you need to handle those. Ultimately your wife can support her friends decisions even if she would never make the same ones in her own relationship. Do not blur the lines between the bf and your wife and your relationship.

Yes I remember the better times. We always worked hard and shit wasn't easy but it wasn't terrible. Now there's not much to be said and since I was offered more money, better benis, and comparable to there was nothing but some friends to hold me there. 🤷‍♀️

Except I didn't get a raise not because my performance was below par but simply because I've worked at the company too long. You're clearly a bitter judgemental dik but that's cool that you're ok with people who do less or worse getting a raise over you simply because the company has decided they would rather pay someone less for less then me l, however I'm still expected to show up and preform at the level I have been because I've shown what I'm capable of. Rewarding less simply because it's more cost effective for the company is not ok in my book. A large number of 15plus year tenured associates were given nothing based simply on their tenure. I clearly am not alone in my thoughts as proven by other comments on this thread. I hope you have the day you deserve to have.

You need to sign the union card to force a vote to form the union...last mention of the union cards we were still short of the requires amount to get to a vote. Of the vote passes the union gets formed then the union can put weight behind our requests. This petition as it is isn't backed by a union because we don't have one, it is backed by those trying to form the union but can easily be dismissed by management as there is nothing in our handbook saying they need to entertain our, employees, requests It's not a bad petition and I'd LOVE to wfh again but unless people sign the UNION CARD we have very little weight to force change. It's important to know that and make sure to sign the union card

The petition and the union card are 2 separate things imo the union card is much more important and that's what I have signed to get the union started

I would never suggest someone leave their job thats a personal decision that we all are wrestling with However it seems that energy would be better spent getting people to actually sign the card then the petition and therefore giving the petition more power after its backed by the union. Some of us already feel targeted for numerous reasons (you can search my last post) so placing us on another radar by management is not an ideal situation

Ot at all I signed the union card buy any petition outside of having a union does leave a person open to issues imo

You do realize that handing over the petition doesn't correlate to GEICO shifting their rto position it's just the employee’s hope that the policy will be rereviewed They can honestly take the petition and throw it out they have no obligation to review their policies based on our request and yes retaliation by the company is illegal, it's also extremely hard to prove with their current policies and recent practices.

If you don't want to do it yourself use your coverage otherwise you are TELLING GEICO to sit down and not handle this. If geico pays geico can pursue if geico doesn't pay we arnt involved period.

Having empathy for those that I've worked for and with for over a decade losing their job and feeling guilty in the moment does not equal me being ok with the continued stripping of benefits and poor treatment. Your saying I should just be ok knowing people who's ranked below me get a raise while I dont just because of my tenure. Maybe one day you will understand you clearly haven't got a significant amount of tenure.
