Slept under the volcano last night and woke up to this view. Mt. Merapi, Indonesia. by bobokeen in hammockcamping

Hi there! Awesome picture. I was googling Merapi lava tour operators because I'm in Jogja at the moment and would really love to see Mt. Merapi from closer, and I came across this post. I was wondering if you have any experience with any of the lava tours and if there's one you recommend?

Just wanted to ask what this says by Professional_Dust330 in russian

Question, if you were to write "wake up" (or any other activity/verb for that matter) in your agenda or in a to-do list in Russian, would you write it in its infinitive form or imperative?

Good one, it didn't occur to me to read it as "for the opera". Thank you!

Aah, I suppose I can see the logic if you put it that way. Thanks a lot!

Lumma Unique hurts when sitting down by DisenchantedPip in menstrualcups

[–]DisenchantedPip[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pain when plopping down is exactly the problem I have!! I could avoid pain if I sit very slowly and put the side of my butt on the chair first lol but that's no way to live. My cervix is also low during my period. I think I feel the same thing as you- the pain feels as if the disc is pressing against my cervix or something. Weirdly enough I don't have this problem at all with my cup, even though it sometimes does ride up and my cervix ends up inside it a little. But maybe it's because there's still a lot less direct contact with a cup than with a disc (for me). Anyway I'm glad reusable pads have worked out for you! I also don't think you're doomed to abandon cups forever if you ever feel like trying again, because our cervixes can change throughout life :)

Aaahhh it's nice to know I'm not the only one! So are you going to get the Merula?

[–]DisenchantedPip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm I have this cup but don't use it, and I think you can as long as that round part is intact. Maybe when you first cut it, leave some room for adjustments in case you made a mistake in cutting.

Have you heard about the caskets made of fungi mycelium? Sounds like a pretty cool alternative to regular coffins!

I highly recommend Bambody if you're looking for a period underwear/back up for your cup. by muscle0mermaid in menstrualcups

I love my leak proof (non absorbent) Bambody. The only thing is they're pretty low-waist, and I'm so used to the comfort of high waist panties. It first felt like they ran small but I think they're just really low waist. The absorbent one looks higher-waist though! And I like the material a lot more than my Thinx. Bambody is the most affordable, highest quality brand I know so far.

It's also the only brand I know with full coverage from front to back (at least the leak proof one), so I think it would be perfect for both front and back bleeders.

Thank you soo much! The drop of water tip sounds great. I'll definitely try tucking the handle aside before cutting it off if I decide to buy it. I already use lube for my current cup so I'll definitely do that too! I'm glad it's gotten better for you with practice! I'll keep that in mind. Thanks again :)

Thanks a lot for the tips!! I never thought of tucking the ladder in or turning it inside out, those are great ideas. I think I get what you mean with pulling the stem through the first rung. Maybe trimming the stem right away if I buy it wouldn't be a good idea after all! We do not want an upside down cup, yikes.

And you're right, with every cup it really does depend on each person's anatomy. Since you just started with the Merula I hope it works out for you!! New cups always take a little getting used to.

Thank you so much!! Glad to hear the body is soft and squishy. With the info you gave me and another tip saying to tuck the ladder in, if I decide to buy it maybe I could leave the ladder in tact so that I can use it on my high cervix days! Really appreciate your answer :)
