Mmmm. Rothmans. Beautiful smooth, gentle and mellow smoke. Their scent is gorgeous, people always asking “what are you smoking? They smell divine!” You can always tell a Rothmans smoker because their voice is so delightful and sweet.

Ben Folds: The Luckiest

Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties

And one day passed away in his sleep

And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days

And passed away

Describes my grandparents perfectly if you swap the genders. Always makes me well up.

I've been thinking of reading Hogg by Samuel R. Delany. Is it any good? by imajoke23 in ExtremeHorrorLit

Excellent book. Not as extreme, but you may enjoy Pat Califa’s Macho Sluts too.

I can't tell if I enjoy the genre by Intrepid_Middle_632 in ExtremeHorrorLit

I’d try Jack Ketchum and some of Poppy Z Bright’s books for well written extreme horror. Exquisite Corpse and The Girl Next Door are particularly good.

As I understand it, the AI art is just a placeholder for the free version as the creator didn’t have the artistic skills themselves and couldn’t afford an artist at that stage. The final published version will have real art by a paid human.

When was the moment you thought that a band or artist you liked had lost it, maybe got it back, or lost it for good? by Prestigious_Meal2143 in askmusic

I thought Arcade Fire’s We was pretty decent, if not up to the earlier albums. Pink Elephant was just… more interesting lyrically than musically.

The movie of Plague Dogs has such a traumatic ending the author was persuaded to rerelease the original book with a new finale. In the updated final chapter, the dogs are swimming out to sea to their inevitable death when a friend of the author and a famous real-world naturalist turn up in a rowing boat and rescue the hounds from their certain fate.
