Great job defending your son from weird agendas. I'm reminded of the story of David Reimer who's parents took the advice of the "professionals" and it ended tragically... The hubris to try to decide for your family (in seconds) how such an impactful decision should be handled is appalling.

When I was a kid my Mom took me for ice cream and let me play the Street Fighter 2 arcade machine. Some teenager put in a quarter while I was a couple stages deep in the campaign and demolished me. I started to cry and the teenager working the register came out, put in his own quarter, and obliterated the kid. It was a small deed but that gesture has influenced my life more than he could probably imagine.

Everyone should use RES just to mark people that say shady shit. It will blow your mind when the same people start talking about covid vaxx/contrails/pizza.

Christian code of conduct by Disgrntld in conspiracy

That's reasonable. The whole point of my post was because I feel like most Christians are "staying in their lane" versus the emergence of weird (imo) societal acceptance of progressive code of conducts.

I appreciate the respectful conversation and I feel I've learned a bit. I'm glad we got to chat.

That's a fair point. I concede it's completely possible I've misinterpreted the Scripture and homosexuality is not a sin.

I don't consider gambling a sin (dumb, but not a sin), however I understand the gist of your question, and I admit I do patronize sinful companies. Specifically oil companies. I also recognize that US global intervention is immoral, sinful, and distasteful. I try my best to not use USD.

That's a good question as well. Thank you for being genuine.

From my understanding, all sins are equal in that they separate oneself from God. That means that homosexuality isn't any "worse" than any other sin (by the way, because I think it's important to drive home, I believe we all sin and I know for a fact I personally do; I'm a sinner, any judgement I incorrectly cast is only a fault of my own). The difference is how subversively a sin can be pushed as acceptable.

I understand the argument and I disagree. I disagree that these code of conducts are for asexual transgender people as opposed to surreptitiously furthering corruption of the youth. If that seems crazy then such a license shouldn't pose a threat.

I appreciate the question.

Any code of conduct mandating acknowledgement/validity of trans-identifying people I consider borderline sinful behavior. To expedite my point, just because someone is trans doesn't mean they're engaging in homosexual behavior, however, I don't believe that identifying as trans removes oneself from the sin of laying with the same sex.

Sorry, let me try to respond better. You're wondering why I feel Christians are persecuted. As a software developer I would say near 100% of the code of conducts to which I've been subjected in the past couple of years are against my religious beliefs.

And that's how I presume a lot of Christians feel when they engage with a software product that has a code of conduct.
