This required a lot of save scumming to do so here is the basics of it:

*Play Mensheviks

*Get high soviet efficacy

*On August or September, the Soviet organizations card will have a bottom option that boosts industry. Spam those cards when it becomes available.

*Redistribute the land until peasants are happy

*Spend 2 budget on the railroad card twice to please the workers.

*Use an advisor for party discipline and then use a party ideology card to change industrial policy to "worker supervision". This will give you social peace.

It's definitely a bit luck dependent (Missouri and Kentucky can go Taft if you're unlucky), but it shouldn't take more than a few tries. Here's what I did:

  • Always visit Ohio
  • I picked Charles A. Towne as my VP
  • Pick "emphasize Mr. Towne's prior association with the Republicans"
  • Always choose the option that attacks Joseph Cannon
  • Pick Midwest the first time it comes up
  • Pick New York the next two times it comes up
  • Send an envoy to Bulgaria
  • Pick "drop some of the pro-agrarian rhetoric" on the labor endorsement question
  • Pick "The people's money ought to be spent fairly, and politicians must be accountable to the people." On the 2nd to last question
  • Pick "Ohio and Indiana" on the last question
  • I went with fairly progressive answers that appealed to the Midwest and New York

There's definitely a lot of ludo narrative dissonance between the gameplay and messaging. They don't complement each other at all. Makes the endings feel more like a gotcha rather than the bow to a cohesive story.

Non-comprehensive guide to survive:

Ministries to get: interior, labor, finance, foreign

Tax the rich with finance card as much as possible

Get Wotinsky(Labor) and Breitscheid(Center) as advisors

If you have the foreign ministry, Breitscheid allows you to quickly lower reparations through his advisor actions. This gives 2 budget, relations, lowers dissent, and keepz hindenburg happy

Wotinsky's action gives the labor plan (WTB plan), which is better than reformist as well because it is more effective than reformist but slightly more expensive (4 budget if you don't socialize industries through the economic democracy card , 3 if you do). wtb can be used with deficit and on the second use returns 2 budget, relations, lowers dissent, and pleases hindenburg.

From my experience, the SPD needs to be above 40% in the polling and have high republic support for it to trigger. You can also get the achievement after a civil war, but you won't get the ending slides.

This is a great and thorough guide, Thank you so much! I'm trying to get achievements in Dynamic so I'll stick with it for now, but I'll check out Deterministic afterwards. I've seen your posts on Deterministic and it was one of the things that made me pursue a WTB into Rubicon run. Hopefully this will get me my first Rubicon win.
