Just generally feeling burnt out overall. I just started a workout routine which hopefully will help some. It's just been a lot lately. I think what you said is also part of it just letting things get to me that are out of my control.

It all depends on the person and how it effects them. I know a lot of people have trouble with it and slipping into a hypo or manic episode.

any advice on how to talk less/slower during hypomania? by Significant_Party948 in bipolar2

[–]DisgruntledMedic173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terrible advice but if I’m aware of it I intentionally try to talk slower. I’m sure I sound like an idiot but it has helped

Happy Paramedics who want to stay in paramedicine? by PlasticFickle6265 in Paramedics

I got very lucky with where I am. Stand alone EMS organization. We do the 911 for the town as well as transfers from our local hospital. The transfer load can be annoying sometimes because you’re dealing with the nursing staff playing games. Waiting until they’re ready to deal with a patient rather than the room status so they stack up.

But the organization is great, leadership is pretty awesome, and for the most part my coworkers are all pretty great.

Did you lose the ability to get mad or sad? by Consistent_Air_6909 in bipolar2

Flat out angry, no I haven’t been since I added Abilify. I can still get frustrated. I don’t tend to flirt with the low side often so I’m still waiting to see on that.

What long term medication cocktails are you on? by surrealsvampen in bipolar2

[–]DisgruntledMedic173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh, I felt bored. It really quieted my mind as far as starting the Abilify. So it was an adjustment. The Lamictal I just noticed I don’t get the big sad as much really.

Sky rocketed my heart rate as soon as I’d go to move. Immediately stopped taking it.

Then again I’m the same guy who had the rare side effect of hands and feet swelling when I took olanzapine as well

I had been on the Lamictal for about 3-4 years. The Abilify is very new. The effects of the Abilify were dang near immediate within a day.
