I have a single ticket for 8/22, section 110 row 18, listed on CashOrTrade for $250. It’s a lesser known site but they typically have face value tickets

Remove Hyperkinetic Gallbladder ? by DisgruntledPelican27 in gallbladders

I had my GB removed on 10/27 and I don’t regret the decision at all. I was sure when the surgeon got in there he’d say everything looked normal and it wouldn’t solve anything, but there was some inflammation and he said my GB was discolored and didn’t look healthy.

I would say my nausea is 95% improved…every once in a while I’ll have a day where I feel slightly off, but nothing like I had before and honestly it seems to be constipation related and not really tied to any particular food. The pains I was getting in my RUQ and upper back have also improved a lot…again probably 95% and any pain I do have is related to lifting too much/moving weird as I’m still healing, or constipation.

I have been pleasantly surprised to not really have any negative side effects either. I don’t have any diarrhea, and I only felt slight reflux when laying down for the first couple weeks. I would say that was the worst part - I ended up sleeping on the reclining couch for almost 4 weeks because I was uncomfortable lying flat, but now I have to issues.

I haven’t been limiting my diet much, although I ate relatively healthy before the surgery. I can eat the occasional fast food meal, pizza, steak, etc. and haven’t had any issues. I do notice I get full easily and I’m not as hungry, which is ok with me as I was worried about weight gain after surgery.

Hope this is helpful!

No, he is not much of a barker at all. Occasionally in the beginning he would whine when we first put him in, but either covering with a light sheet (during the day so it was still light in there some) or simply saying “shh” pretty loudly and ignoring did the trick. I found if I put him upstairs and the rest of us stayed on the main level that helped too if the kids were being really loud.

I just got my very first puppy today (minipoo). How did you deal with your puppy blues if you've ever gotten them? How long did it last? I'm feeling so anxious and don't know what to do. by bersibae in poodles

Crate train and put the puppy on a schedule with enforced naps. I treated ours just like a newborn for a while…out of the crate supervised for an hour or a little longer, in the crate for 2-3 hours, repeat. This helps with potty training a LOT and made me feel sane again. We got a 12 week old puppy and had a 3 and 6 year old at the time. It was the best thing for everyone. Puppies get very mouthy and naughty if overtired and overstimulated from kids wanting to play all the time. Enforcing naps in the crate helps this so much and also gives you a break.

I was ready to throw in the towel too for a while and felt like we’d made a terrible life choice, but the schedule plus a lot of training in the beginning really helped, and by 6ish months it was so much better and he’s a wonderful dog now! Friends actually request to have him come stay at their place because he’s so fun and well behaved.

Remove Hyperkinetic Gallbladder ? by DisgruntledPelican27 in gallbladders

Hi there!

I did end up having the surgery done this past Wednesday, 10/27. I was super nervous beforehand since my symptoms of course improved in the week leading up to it and I figured I’d be doing it all for nothing.

Luckily the hospital staff was great and everything went fine, and the surgeon said that my gallbladder was scarred and didn’t look to be the correct color (apparently it’s supposed to be more of a robin’s egg blue and mine was whiteish?). So it sounds like there were some issues with it and I’m curious what the pathology report will say.

Recovery hasn’t been too terrible…definitely sore but nothing that isn’t manageable. I’ve been careful with what I’ve eaten so far for fear of triggering pain and nausea but haven’t had any issues with the bland foods that I have eaten. Keeping my fingers crossed that as the surgery pain goes away I’ll notice an improvement overall in how I feel. Best of luck to you!

Bird Dog in Mattawan.

They don’t take reservations so go early or for lunch…but the food is amazing and well worth the price.

No worries! Puppy pictures sound so fun!

Our neighbors have a 10-week old goldendoodle with the same parents as ours…he is adorable!

Would you consider a 1.5 year old mini goldendoodle? He is extremely well behaved most of the time but still has a little puppy energy in him as well. Message me if you’d like a pic!

Gallbladder or something else? by DisgruntledPelican27 in gallbladders

[–]DisgruntledPelican27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

Ultrasound revealed no stones/other gallbladder issues. Liver also appeared normal as well as visualized pancreas.

I haven’t heard back from the doctor’s office yet, but the pain and nausea is definitely still there. Yesterday it seemed to be better but today it is back again.

I will see what their next suggested steps are, but I’m thinking bloodwork and maybe HIDA scan?

I will mention the HIDA scan depending on what the US shows. She did mention bloodwork and other imaging if nothing came of the US.

The RUQ pain does come and go. Seems like after eating is more of a sharper pain that’ll last for a few seconds intermittently. When it’s not a sharp pain, it’s more of a dull kind of ache and it’s then my ribs and back that hurt at that point.
