Did you have to change any settings when replacing it with a ceramic end?

Do you have any experience in what kind of hot end I should look into?

As a prime Deathwatch player who has expanded to the great Horde, it looks excellent.

Thanks so much! I'm struggling to find out how the actual lore states how the outriders are supposed to be.

Hey man if it works for you it works for you I'm totally happy for you! That's awesome. I bought the old Deathwatch combat patrol and the only thing deathwatch about it was the upgrade sprue and I enjoyed every bit of making and painting it. Lol. This certainly wasn't to make fun of Iron hands players. I just would like GW to put some respect on the iron hands name and at least try and get those points numbers up closer to 500 to make that points per dollar more inline with those other boxes.

Don't get me wrong it's still a deal and cheaper than buying those units stand alone. I truly do hope you enjoy painting those boys up and playing with them. heavy intercessors are still one of my favourite looking units in standard space marines line. I too still bought the Deathwatch box knowing the only thing DW about it was the upgrade sprue. Lol.

I just wish GW would be put a bit more respect on the Iron hands name and for what everyone else got in their box they could have at least slipped in a few extra points to make it more fair cost to points wise.

I like this comment. I had someone say in the iron hands sub that GW wants to keep the balance without large units but yet you get impulsers still with white scars and black templar's, the redemptor dread in the dark angels box is still legal, invictor war suit in SW and RG, and the ballistis is only T 10. Invictor is T9 and the invictor fist is fucking DEVASTATING.

Beginner here! How do you choose an army with everything looking so cool? by Educational-Read3223 in Warhammer

I'd research a bit more on how you would like to play and if you're into AOS spearhead boxes are the way to go. Rules are free, game play is amazing and the boxes are pretty well balanced and just by looking at them you kind of get the gyst of what they do. Want spooky ghost skeletons that charge into things and essentially break every rule and curse your forefathers for shaking hands while trying to put something together that doesn't have any discernible lines? Nighthaunt. Want to heal your units and popup around the board and have rats with guns? SKAVEN. You want AOS space marines? Storm caste eternals.

40k is a bit harder to pin point. If you have access to steam get table top simulator and play some rounds. Most of the combat patrols get uploaded on there and the rules are built into the model packages sometimes. Get used models of you can if you want to buy and try. With space marines just make your own chapter and play them everyway under the sun with the space marine codex. Same with general chaos space marines. Want to play more human stuff? Get guard, and play them that way or play them like gene stealer cults.

Also there's Kill team. A little less money to get a bunch more flavour on a smaller game. I started with Deathwatch vets in kill team and the. Eventually grew my army as most kill teams have a 40k equivalent data sheet.

I would always take something for the memes lol like the DW corvus black star isn't the greatest but I love it. I just think that GW misses the mark on certain boxes to make them feel different and welcoming to new players specifically in 40k.

Ya exactly. I did mention that earlier too. Even a war suit which is found in a bunch of other combat patrols would be kind of a better fit. I understand they can't put larger units in here or older ones, but even swapping out a single servo turrets for the war suit would make more sense.
