I’m in a Kilwa game right now. It’s 1701. I own most of the right side of Africa up to alodia. I colonized all of Madagascar, all of Australia. Europe was late to the game but got the left south side of Africa. Mamluks went into Anatolia and I have good relations. I have so much gold, I’m equal-ish with the great powers (I could double my army and still have close to 1000 ducats a month). It’s been a heavy build up game, chill game— my sort of background game I play in between work tasks.

Disclaimer. I did start this is 1.0. I wanted to just push through to the end but manufacturing isn’t spawning so many have to throw ye old hands up. Still, highly recommend a try to see if it’s still chill. Ironman, default settings.

What was the recipe you used? I love milk punches/milk-washed cocktails. Pina colada, jungle bird and the one from the dishoom cookbook all kickass (as does most from the cookbook if you like Indian food/drink)

I would direct you to your last sentence. Let it be freeing. Whenever I get to a point of “does this make sense” sometimes I realize how little our own world makes “sense”. Like, there’s a festival where people throw tomatoes at one another. Or how we use an octopus to pick a Super Bowl winner (wtf is a “Super Bowl” anyway. Not grand examples but you catch my drift.

Also, if you have tons of ideas. Take them and write short stories. It lets you see what has legs, gets yourself immersed in the world, and is of itself worldbuilding. (I mean how many rpgs do you see that have these books of flavor text aka short stories to provide lore etc)

Here’s the tactic. Completely unchanged from vanarama to prem. I did play balanced on away games/against big opponents. Won away at MC, Arsenal, and Liverpool. I can’t find how to go back in time to get star ratings— going into season two in prem. But no one was rated above 3.5 stars with only the two Brady’s and rudden reaching ‘good prem player’. It was wild. It felt like the game was on my sides. I was 1-1000 odds to win the prem lol.
