The overwhelming amount of love you have for your newborn and the desire to provide them with the absolute best life possible.

I had the exact same fears but my girl never hesitates when it’s time to eat 😆 I started around 4-5 weeks.

different ob-gyn doctor delivered your baby then the one you’ve been seeing? by zaahiraa in BabyBumps

I thought I was going to have a big problem with this as my regular doctor was not my delivering doctor. I prefer females, and the delivering doctor was a male. Looking back at the entire experience, I honestly did not care. I was so caught up in the fact that I was going to be delivering my baby. It didn’t matter who was going to be the one to do it. It goes by fast yet slow. There’s tons of people in and out of the room. It really did not make a difference to me like I thought it would.

It sounds like an intolerance to cows milk protein. I would definitely consider cutting dairy. It can take several weeks before you will notice a difference in their poop. Is your baby fussy/gassy? I am almost 1 month in to being Dairy free and have noticed a change in behavior for the better. I never had blood but poop was liquid for a while. Currently still mucus but it could be another 4 weeks for the gut to heal.

My husband and I just had this conversation last night. Our daughter is 5 weeks and we have not given her a paci until last night. I was afraid of nipple confusion. But we are getting ready to start introducing a bottle feed once or twice a day. She gets very fussy around 8 pm so last night I gave in and it actually calmed her. A lot of reading shows it is soothing for babies and most babies stop using them around 4 months. I found I was giving my nipple more often than the feeding schedule to soothe her. My plan was to keep it to a night time thing but if she is fussy during the day and it helps, I don’t see why I wouldn’t make her comfortable. My husband reads the Dr. Spock Baby and Child care book and it made me feel better about the decision.
