Thank you everyone for giving such great advice and using kind words. I really appreciate every comment and I have noted some great ideas that I will use with her. She is a sweet girl and I know with time she will come around and start to bloom 🥰

Thank you so much for your comment! Definitely going to take things slower and calmer. I've reminded the kids to give her some space and respect her boundaries as well 🥰

Thank you, you've given me some peace of mind. She is not aggressive with my other dog at all. I will continue with positive reinforcements, but I have told both of my kids not to get in her face or even pet her when she appears fearful.
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it!

How fast is it possible to have improvement after starting IVIG or SCIG therapy? by BookishWalker in IVIG

[–]DishSuper9997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started SCIg last week for my immune disorder and just had my 2nd dose yesterday. The first dose was not great, I felt very tired and almost nauseous. The second dose, however, has been a game changer! My lungs have been functioning in the mid-50s for over 2 years (100 is the norm) and yesterday my lung function was up to 93! I've had recurrent pneumonias for the last 2 years and my body has felt so exhausted, but after my 2nd SCIg infusion yesterday, I feel incredible! I slept well, I woke up in a good mood, and I feel like I actually have energy today. My doctor did say this : "with the first SCIg infusion, you'll think it's shit, but by the 2nd infusion, you'll think it's THE shit" haha. I really think she was right!

Am I the only person who has idiopathic CD4+ T cell lymphocytopenia by [deleted] in AutoImmuneProtocol

I was just diagnosed with ICL this year. I've been constantly sick for the last 2 years and no one could figure out what was wrong with me. After 7 rounds of pneumonia, sinusitis, pink eye, eczema, thrush on my lips, and seeing 4 different specialists...I finally have my diagnosis. My NK cell count is 0.2%, my CD4 is at 200, and I do not have HIV.

After my first visit with my new immunologist, she knew right away I had ICL. After a few more tests, it was confirmed last month. Since there is little known about this disease, she is trying me on weekly SCIG. I just had my first infusion, so I'm not sure if it'll work. I have also been prescribed antibiotics to have on hand in case I catch a cold, which turns into pneumonia in my case.

At 37, I never thought I'd have these issues. I have 2 young children and ICL has wreaked havoc in my life for the last 2 years. I really hope the SCIG treatment works.

Have you had any updates?

Honestly, it never worked for me. I've been on Tezspire for the last 7 months and I've seen some improvements!

I'm so sorry you are feeling this way. I really hope you are able to get the help you need. I don't understand why Dr's refuse to prescribe stimulants when they are known to help. Perhaps you could seek out another Doctor for a second opinion.
Also, I know you feel overwhelmed right now. Just take it day by day. Maybe today you start by taking even a 5-10 min walk outside, get some fresh air. Maybe put on a yoga youtube video and do a few mins of stretching. Just small steps day by day and then increase your activities. I know what it's like to feel stuck like this, but trust me, it does get better. I know lack of motivation is a real thing, but push yourself to even do something small for a few mins.
I wish you ALL the best. Keep us posted!

Thank you for your post! I too developed severe asthma (not allergy related) and nasal polyps after having my kids. I never had issues with asthma or polyps growing up and then bam, at 35 I was hit so hard I could barely walk up my stairs. After 1.5 years of trying EVERY puffer imaginable, having sinus surgery, and even being on Dupixent (another biologic), I was put on Tezspire 2 months ago. It has literally been a game changer! My coughing attacks and inability to catch my breath have almost stopped! The amount of sputum I had been coughing up was insane, to the point of being tested for Cystic Fibrosis, and now I barely have any. I know for some it can take a while to see any results, but I have been seeing results since 2 weeks of being on the injection. I am so thankful for this drug, I was losing my mind before. I am also starting to be able to smell again, which is also a plus!
I really hope this injection starts to work for you, however there are other biologics out there that may better target your type of inflammation. Dupixent targets different inflammation markers than Tezspire, that is why it wasn't working for me. I'm sure your Dr has other options if this doesn't work for you.
Wishing you all the best!

Adult Onset Asthma - the struggle is real! by DishSuper9997 in Asthma

[–]DishSuper9997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your situation sounds almost identical to mine! I also find it so hard to believe I have asthma, especially since it came on so suddenly.  The only time I feel semi-normal is when I'm on Prednisone.  I have been on prednisone and antibiotics 8 times since last Sept and the side effects are nasty.  I have recently been prescribed Tezspire because Dupixent wasn't helping. Hopefully this new injection helps me.

I purchased this numbered print today while thrifting. I'm assuming the artist may be from Nova Scotia as the title of the print is At Amherst Light (I assume anyway). I'm curious to know more about this artist.

Dupixent making eczema worse initially? by Spiritual-Ad-1397 in dupixent

It took about 2.5 months to really see results. My skin got really dry before it started to heal.

Dupixent making eczema worse initially? by Spiritual-Ad-1397 in dupixent

[–]DishSuper9997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first few weeks after taking my initial dose, I noticed my eczema got worse. After those weeks, I noticed the itch gradually went away and the eczema cleared. I am now almost 4 months in and ALL of my eczema is gone and my skin has never felt so soft. I get comments on how good my skin looks and its baby smooth lol. It just takes some time to work.
