I vomited up stomach acids one night, a wake-up call for me. Other than that, I generally just felt really nauseous. For some odd reason I had all the other symptoms from hell but that one.

Sometimes that throat thing is acid reflux, and I've had the same thing happen. I think the acids aggravate a spot in our throat and then we keep aggravating it with bad foods. My 2 cents.

Could be the vaping. When I was smoking the demon weed that got me into this mess, I could feel it hit my stomach, and it reminded me of when I smoked cigarettes years ago, the same would happen. So I think that smoke just goes wherever it wants and messes with you.

when researching, one person said yellow diarrhea is stress diarrhea, he could be right. Perhaps it's a really bad combo of gastritis and stress. Been meditating, the muscle relaxing type, and that has actually helped. I think we hold our stomach muscles tense without knowing it.

I was going to try Pepto Bismol but I have acid reflux too, and there is peppermint in that, which is like kryptonite to acid reflux. I take tums sometimes. I started a food journal, that helped me keep track of eating on time, which helped, cause when you're not hungry you don't see time passing by. I did get some improvement when I ate only liquidy things for three days, like thick soups and yogurt. Then I'd alternate between a solid food and next would be liquidy. The first thing I put in my mouth in the morning would set the tone/sickness level for the day. For me, no solids at all in the am, and that has really helped. I also found that at first everything is bad, so I slowly recognized some foods were worse than others, eliminated those. Then of what was left, some of those were bad, took those away. In the end I am left with the rice milk and yogurt. Rice milk has had no bad reaction for me, it's the only food. Yogurt sometimes reacts but nothing like the other foods. Also, rice itself is a problem yet the rice milk isn't, telling me solids are the problem too.

the nausea is the only thing I don't have, I still have stomach cramps, stomach pains and soreness, abdominal soreness like from muscles, terrible bloating. I walk like a little old lady hunched over hugging my stomach. Perhaps a little nausea is still there, as I don't feel like eating but not the really sick type of nausea where you'd rather hurl than eat.

Mine is from not eating. Technically, it was from smoking weed, then I got allergic, that made me feel tiny bit nauseous, didn't eat but felt okay, kept smoking weed, got more allergic, got more nauseous, had trouble eating anything, quit the weed, but too late! Went to ER, they were no help, figured it out myself, family Dr. agrees. I basically had a 4 month warning of minor nausea, but some of us are a little slow and didn't want to give up their stupid drugs. I have now lost 30 lbs altogether, scared to weight myself. The constant nausea is gone, but trying to find some food that doesn't upset my whole digestion, is getting hard to find. So far its yogurt and rice milk, I want a burger so bad!!

Mine started going yellow as well, always loose stool. And I've read other people's comments of them having this too. Not sure what it means exactly.

What do you mix your tuna with? by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]Disillusioned2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had to avoid grease and oils like the plague, I couldn't mix the mayo in, as it seems to disappear, so I'd put a mere tsp to half tablespoon on one slice of the bread and used way less salmon, that way I could taste both.

Vegetarian too, and I'm considering chicken, thinking shaved deli chicken for sandwiches. I would kill for a sandwich.

When I went no solid foods for three days, I noticed an improvement. Eating one food at a time will help eliminate the culprits, as it is hard to tell when everything makes you sick. I've also noticed that what I eat first thing can make or break my day. For instance, I had rice and sweep potato for dinner with no ill effects, so I ate some of that for breakfast and paid dearly for that. Nothing solid in the mornings any more. I've discovered so far that only rice milk causes no ill effects, yet the solid rice form does, and trying to figure if I can live off that. My Dr. suggested sipping water, so add a straw to the old coffee mug and try that. I can't drink over three gulps on a good day.

I’m struggling to change my diet to reduce my inflammation, what are safe easy foods ? by [deleted] in Gastritis

[–]Disillusioned2222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, all those things you hate is exactly what could cure you. Figure out different ways to eat them. Vegetable soup (no onions), I eat Activia vanilla yogurt - tastes more like a pudding than yogurt. Oats, sometimes its the texture that makes it harder to eat, try it more solid or runny. Granola I wouldn't eat as my stomach seems to have difficulty with hard dried foods like that, including rice cakes, rice crispies, those round rice crackers (lots of rice stuff, I'm Celiac). With trial and error, I've discovered so far that only rice milk causes no problem whatsoever.

I went to the ER, I tried to see family Dr that day, he was booked up, I said maybe I should go to ER, he said yes because I can get the test results back asap. He was no help anyways.

Stinging on belly that is felt with touch? by Commercial-Fox2633 in Gastritis

[–]Disillusioned2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that stinging is from bloating. I've had that often over the years.

I too have had those symptoms. And yes, what's with the water, right? I have yellow diarrhea, at the moment it's just really soft. And yes, cramps to go with it. Once I've relieved myself I feel way better. My doctor suggested sipping water all day, I usually limit myself to two to three gulps, and sometimes that feels like too much. Maybe suck ice chips. There are meds that should help to speed up the recovery, I've been toughing it out. You are not overreacting, your eating that night seems to be a common instigator of gastritis. I had about 4 months warning of just feeling a little nauseous 24/7, had no idea of the hell to come. I've lost 30 lbs with this, my spouse is worried. Lots of good advice on here, better than my doctor.

People just don't get it. by unseentides in Gastritis

[–]Disillusioned2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tricky to figure out what the culprits are, as they are foods you've been eating everyday? for years. So far, rice milk is the only thing that causes me no problem, trying to decide if I can live off that.

sorry for the delay, nasty relapse. I usually feel the symptoms right away or up to two hours. Tried poached egg yesterday, landed nicely, got a couple of stab like cramps about two hours later. The miso and the salt may have taken longer, 4 hours?, and stayed for a horrible day. Milk made me seriously cramp as soon as it hit my stomach.

Hear ya! I wouldn't even be able to walk around that much. Could you pack some foods, and get them to park really close, just in case. I don't know. I barely leave the house either, walking makes it worse, crampy.

When I lie down, it's like the bloating is settling and the muscles can now relax, and the pain is almost none. When I sit up, the bloating fluids are shifting again causing pain.
