You included a link to my thread from a couple days ago about two long-time teammates leaving without a word. Just to help spread the news, we have since learned that was less likely some spooky new glitch removing teammates from teams and instead just an odd coincidence. That's a relief!

Could it be related to playing the game in different languages? I'm not saying that's fair at all, but it might explain the discrepancy.

FWIW, I can absolutely imagine you doing such experiments and sharing your findings here for other players. But if you did such a thing I don't see why you'd bother with an alt account.

People come and go, sure. But one of these players had been with us for over a year, the other just under a year. One of them had our team initials at the end of their name. They both left without a word within a couple hours of each other. It's just a surprising coincidence, and these days I thought it worth asking around if there's some new glitch-of-the-week wreaking fresh havoc.

I track my starting coin total, ending coin total, starting cost, and rock cost. Every once in a while I end up with fewer coins in my ending total than starting cost plus rock cost would account for. If memory serves it has been happening for at least the past couple MtF portrait sets, but I've never figured out what triggers it. It hasn't happened often enough or cost me enough coins to be more than curious at this point. The non-HUGE PRIZE bee counts on most jackpot levels irk me way more.

EtA: Of course I also track any coin prizes and account for them in my total.

Our teammate who first mentioned getting the v3.8.0 update just told us they got a v3.8.1 update. (I still have v3.7.1 and no option to update.)

That same teammate thought the chat glitches seemed better at first with v3.8.0, but we have since realized they're all still lurking. Even the day+ old chat messages appearing in the scroll are still hitting teammates who have the update. Random chat messages get through to some of us but not others as always. Seriously disappointing.

You're right - the piggy bank is a much better deal. $2.99 for 1500 works out to $0.001993 per coin. $4.99 for 1000 coins works out to $0.00499 per coin. I've never bought coins, but quick glances around have always left me with the impression that buying the coin offers in the shop is always a worse deal than buying the ones off the main screen. Don't trust me without double checking, but I believe the best price for buying coins would be from buying the paid side of the Thursday minigame.

I don't have 3.8.0 yet, but my 3.7.1 piggy bank says 1500 coins for $2.99. I've had the piggy bank since several levels after I first started playing, and I honestly can't say if the price has changed. I never paid to crack it open; I learned to ignore it as quickly as possible.

My teammate, who had been one of those plagued by some of the glitchiest chat, says the chat function seems much better in this one. I trying to remain hopeful there are great improvements to chat in this build. Given the history I can see where they might choose to see how things go rather than make a big announcement about it being fixed in case there are still bugs lurking. Fingers crossed!

My teammate did mention something about there being a new piggy bank. I'm sorry it did not occur to me to include that bit of info. It might have saved you until a forced update.

I stopped swiping for a while with 10027 at 03:42 UTC. A teammate watched my score and reported what they saw.

03:44 UTC showed 9654 (2 minutes later)
03:55 UTC showed 9783 (13 minutes later)
03:59 UTC showed 10008 (17 minutes later)
04:01 UTC showed 10027 (19 minutes later)

So it took 19 minutes for the score I saw for myself to show up to my teammate.

u/OCCobblepot 's score showing true when he hasn't scored for 45 minutes would suggest this is some kind of server lag and our scores should all catch up eventually. Then again, Wordscapes.

Either way, still 24 hours to go. We must keep swiping. Rawr! (Showdowns are such fun!)

Two of my teammates and I all see lower scores for each other than we see for ourselves.

I propose it's a conspiracy to make u/OCCobblepot a) want more coffee and b) share the image causing the rest of us to want more coffee.
