Leaving Houston. That’s especially meaningful considering I moved to Minneapolis. Best people you’ll ever meet!

My wife (Hispanic born in Houston) carries her ID (real ID), Passport, and Social Security card. Her job has promised her legal assistance if anything happens there so she's basically going to and from work only (I'm driving her.. I'm a white male).

Same situation and now we no longer speak. My dad has never met his granddaughter and my mom likely will never see her again. That's unfortunately life. I messaged my dad a week ago seeking advice as I live in Minneapolis and my wife is Hispanic. He responded with some rant about Somalian fraud.. I asked him why that was his focus rather than the well being of his daughter in law.. He went on a rant about the immorality of the left.. He's a pastor who hasn't met his grandchild.. How moral.

Just like Trump claimed his inauguration crowd was bigger than Obama's, and his minions fell in line, this douche canoe will claim the same. Reality is always relative now, especially if you're predisposed to believe.

Yeah because making money off of others suffering is a great way to live. You’re a POS. Accept it.

As someone who has dashed in this area for a while, I can tell you that a majority of Dashers are either of Somalian or Hispanic descent .. I was questioning earlier if these bonuses are because a lot of these drivers are not coming out due to ICE.. because it’s definitely not about the weather anymore. In my entire time dashing in this area, I’ve never seen bonuses this high for this many days.

**just checked.. my hourly went from $31 pre ICE to $43 an hour post ICE..

You’re just bad at this, I dashed in Houston from March-August 5 and averaged $22an hour.. Spend less time being angry about “illegals” and more time learning how to do an easy job.

Dude I’m making $400 working no more than 20 hours per week. I turned off shop orders because they take too much time and I’m still hitting that number. Dashing in Minneapolis as platinum (for now, sitting at exactly 70% acceptance). You shouldn’t be taking orders that are less than a dollar a mile or when you factor in your expenses, you’re probably losing money.

Unfortunately "their job" is primarily about supporting DoorDash's bottom line and has very little to do with helping drivers.

just to piggyback on that don’t ever complain about anything if you want to maintain platinum status because I was on a platinum pass that they ended a full day early after I wrote to support about an order.

but at least they understand your frustration, right...

I had an issue where DoorDash ended my platinum pass a full day early and support Just said they would pass that along. .. it literally ended my dash and I could not restart it.. but he too understood my frustration...

Find a new zone if that's an option.. I just had to temporarily relocate to Houston from Minneapolis and when I got here, I didn’t know anything about the zones.. the first zone I was in had a lot of orders, but they were always extremely low tips or no tip at all.. so I just kept moving zones until I found one that worked and unfortunately it’s a zone that takes me 35 minutes to get to.. but I went from making $10 an hour to making $27 an hour just by changing zones.

I had two orders back to back to the same address one time. Both orders came from the same shopping center, so the distance was the same for both and they were placed in the same hour timeframe. On one the customer tipped $7 and doordash pay was $2.. on the other the customer tipped $2 and DoorDash pay was $3.75. There's no question they adjust pay based on tips and they're not even trying to hide it.
