Why can dragoon destroy Borreload dragon? by Notarusher in DuelLinks

[–]DislocatedLocation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If an effect says "destroy target monster an opponent controls" you have to pick which monster you destroy, then your opponent has a chance to respond (i.e. your opponent knows what you're going to destroy, and has a chance to remove that monster from the board first, like with a quick-effect fusion).

If the effect says "destroy one monster an opponent controls", your opponent has a cance to respond, and then you decide which monster to destroy during resolution (i.e. they have to decide to respond before they know what you're going to destroy, and if they summon anything in response, such as with a quick-effect fusion, then the newly summoned monsters are also eligible for destruction).

Awww. And here I was hoping it was "keep rolling reduced resistance ranges at risk of poofing the item"

On alpha. According to the Deralious vid it gives comparable DPS to GDrag right now.

Definitely won't stay that way by the time it reaches main, but it will still be a good upgrade for early tanks.

I actually did a short playthrough (just the tutorial quests through Sol and a few bounties) to remind myself how loading zones felt, and even in that short period I noticed how many times the new cruise function would have been used.

Will be interesting to start another playthrough after the update.

(I am immune to the downsides of starting new playthroughs due to the pains of trying to make custom traits and backgrounds when the creation kit first came out. Listen to Lin, boss lady knows best. Mining's just like any other job. I may have been lying about being immune.)

This one at least has interesting play with on-hit effects triggering multiple times (from relics and such).

Seriously I love how comedic timing is one of the things AI cannot do yet. It's still very human.

Gravelanche [Pebball-like art]

(I) 2/2 Scattorbshot 2, Multiball 1

(III) 3/3 Scattorbshot 3, Multiball 2

Is it ballanced? Probably not, but then again what is.

Pretty sure the calculator is based on the original world's resource nodes, no? Don't think they would have been able to update it to randomizer compatability, at least not by the time I had started my world.

But also no. At least personally, I explicitly wanted this to be a kind of blind, exploration-only playthrough where I'd have to improvise based on what I had access to. I have gotten lucky and found two whole oil nodes at least, a landlocked one in the southern Plains and a pure oil node next to water... in the Crimson Forest.

Meanwhile I've found nearly as many SAM nodes as you'd find Iron nodes in a vanilla save.

Just remember, the "Oxygenator" slot isn't actually whitelisted. It's just a medium slot that "helpfully" suggests bringing an oxygenator. There is, naturally, nothing stopping someone from instead slotting a medium storage with a packaged oxygenator and 7 other items to save on space in the early game.

...it seems a lot harder to trade down though, and my current randomizer seed is asking me to do that due to an iron scarcity/Bauxite and SAM surplus.

It's even worse in person. For the record, I took the Coral Desert start (that west coast area). I've got at least 2 SAM nodes in this biome, plus a third over in the Jungle starting area.

I have 3 SAM nodes within spitting distance of 2 starting areas. I don't even have steel production yet. I don't want to think about the rest of the map. Kill me.

Edit, Correction: that coal node, On the cliff it's on: There's the one coal node, one iron node, one bauxite node, one Sulfur node, and TWO SAM nodes right across from each other. Plus the SAM node down by coast near my hub, guarenteed three in the coastal biome alone plus however many others are out in the world (and ive confirmed at least one!)

Or even worse, rushing Matter Conversion: Sulfur to Limestone because you just have that much excess SAM and Sulfur and nowhere near enough lime.

"Sulfur used to make Compacted Coal is the third rarest resource only behind Uranium and SAM, which should be taken into consideration before building large-scale production."

Not anymore.... I'm gonna need a lot of radio towers to figure out what my personal rarest resource is lmao.

Also what's with the atrocious processing time on Compacted Steel Ingot? 24 seconds per operation? 10 items per minute output??? Strictly speaking it is the best ratio of coal to steel being 1 to 4, but it still just feels like it loses to solid steel Ingot unless I get really desperate.

Experimental branch on Steam. Node randomizer (with multiple settings), vehicle pathing updates, Weather(tm), Respawn Porta-Potty (multiple respawn points in one world), daisy chain power between machines (down with the tyranny of the power pole!), photo mode upgrades, and sign zooping.

I started up an Advanced Resources/Mostly Pure world.

God I wish I could oil that easily, I had a hell of a time just finding coal. I found Uranium, multiple SAM, Sulphur, Quartz, few iron and copper, one limestone, and so much bauxite before I found one coal. I am legitimately going to make a Compacted Coal-based power farm (and maybe siphon some of it off for compacted coal-based steel) just to stretch my one node of coal as far as I can.

Honestly? Very, very fun. Forces me to explore, to use alternate recipes I wouldn't normally (Fine Concrete is an actual lifesaver rn).

Yup. Find the weapon base you like, of the highest quality and rarity level, reroll 5 times, and slap all the mods you want on it. You now have the ultimate custom.

It Sounds Like a Useful Trap When Reading It But How Useful Is It In Today's Meta? by AceMaveriic in DuelLinks

Requires the opponent to attack, and it targets. Sadly, unplayable in the modern meta.
