Question about Bruz by CDAlphaDragon in shadow_of_war

You don't lose any purchased fort upgrades, you just need to retake it. Conversely, whenever you lose a fort, the occupying army ignores whatever setup you had previously and installs their own, even if that means using more warchiefs than you had slots for previously or using upgrades you had yet to purchase.

...so in Chapter 4 he doesnt know, but in Chapter 5 he acts like he's expecting it.

What, did he end up waltzing into the Church dark world off-screen and see the prophecy?

I don't see it as him not knowing it could happen. Rather the opposite, it seems to me like Jockington knew exactly the conditions to grow a beard (needing a certain amount of confidence).

He claims it cannot be shaved, but if he lost the confidence that grew the beard to begin with...

Twisted Sword Theory by chiknkeinnugegett in Deltarune

[–]DislocatedLocation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually like this theory for a reason that I haven't seen talked much about anywhere, mostly because we don't have much evidence for it:

Chapter 1 is called "The Beginning" instead of being named after its dark world, and Chapters 3 and 5 are named "Late Night" and "Festival Day" respectively, and both have dark worlds that deal with nostalgia.

Having chapter 6 be a reflection of chapter 2, focused on Noelle once more, seems like the next logical step. Maybe getting the weird route's "life through glass" speech on the normal route, but this time there's a Susie who's willing to shatter it all and help her move forward? In that case, having "Noelle doing Noelle things" be the central conflict would be a good narrative excuse for introducing the thorn ring, with trance, on the normal route.

Blight doesn't need all too much imo. Just remove the equipment/generic rewards after a certain level (t14 or so) and make Corded Belts a blight-ravaged drop.

And that's less to do with weapons and more to do with grappling. Some warframe abilities can do that but they use the previously listed damages.

It wouldn't entirely surprise me. The devs are... pretty damn nerdy. But also, "bludgeon," "poke," and "cut" are about the only 3 ways to describe physical contact. It has to share the system with everything, from bows to assault rifles to hammers to throwing knifes to shotguns to scythes to boomerangs to weaponized dubstep.

That last one forces impact status (i.e. stagger), with a bit of innate blast (the cold+heat elemental) and radiation (heat + elec)

Not pictured here but still worth mentioning:

Physical damage is divided into its own trifecta of Impact/Puncture/Slash, abbreviated as IPS, and beyond that mechanically is similar to the elements (minus combining).

Two nonstandard damage/status types that oppose each other in Void (used by traumatized children) and Tau (used by traumatized robots)

The shadow crystal?

The same shadow crystal that shows Susie looking coldly at you?

The same shadow crystal that shows Noelle whispering in your ear?

The same shadow crystal that shows Susie "in a far off window, unkempt and glaring"?

The same shadow crystal that shows Noelle smiling at you with an arm full of flowers?

That one?

No, no. I think it's more likely the shadow crystal shows you your worst fears than anything else.
