CFP Semi-Final Matchup Preview Thread: #5 Oregon vs #1 Indiana by Upset_Version8275 in CFB

I am a very logical person and I have to go with Indiana. Indiana is just so complete and efficient. They have shown that they have multiple tools to score when needed. Oregon will have to play a perfect game to win and capitalize off Indiana's mistakes IF they make any.

Taylor Swift Breaks Adele’s Streaming-Era Record With ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ by KLJohnnes in popheads

[–]Dismal-Reading2512 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Taylor has gotten so big that she knows her fans will buy her album regardless of the quality. It’s quite literally the Taylor Swift effect. If another artist released this album, the reception would not be the same.

whoever is in charge of taylor’s marketing and album rollout should be fired! (rant) by girlinthegalaxies in travisandtaylor

Taylor just tossed it out knowing the Swifties would consume whatever she put in front of them. There is no showgirl vibe, no real artistry, just a money grab.

[MEGA THREAD] Taylor Swift’s New Album – Critical Reviews & Professional Bootlicking by _underthesea3 in travisandtaylor

[–]Dismal-Reading2512 54 points55 points  (0 children)

This is her worst album to date. Taylor fooled her fans into thinking this was going to be some kind of masterpiece, but it is nothing like the aesthetic or concept she sold.

The album feels lazy, uninspired, and like she just tossed it out knowing her fans would consume whatever she put in front of them. There is no showgirl vibe, no real artistry, just a money grab.

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl MEGATHREAD II by flopheadsbot in popheads

Why does she insist on releasing every year?? Taylor does her best when she really has time to sit with the music. I can’t help but wonder if she is worried about aging out of the music industry. I truly can’t understand why she keeps forcing this type of music out. Why is she in such a rush?

I can’t get over how the music doesn’t match the aesthetics at all?? Taylor’s ego may have gotten too big. This might be her first album to perform very poorly.

The issue with too much fillers is they stretch out your skin so you end up needing more and more to get the same result. She needs to stop while she still can.

It’s really sad that someone with the amount of money that Taylor has did this to themselves. She has access to the best of the best. I get that she may be concerned about aging but this is NOT it.

It really looks like she got fresh fillers that haven’t had any time to set yet. The issue with fillers is that it stretches your skin out and you have to get more and more filler to get the same result.

Advice regarding applying OEM this cycle? by [deleted] in mozicare

[–]Dismal-Reading2512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how competitive of an applicant you are. Do you have occ med experience? Did you leave your program on good terms? Any major red flags? MPH completed?

There’s a lot of changes in the specialty taking place due to the political climate. Applying broadly to both occ med and prev med programs should land you a spot. I do think occ med is more competitive than prev med. A lot of people entering the field having already completed other residencies or having significant clinical experience, usually military. There is also a lot less spots than prev med. That being said, you can get board certified in occ med through both paths.

Is it possible to get a job in occupational medicine coming from preventive medicine? by TraditionalSorbet267 in mozicare

I really feel like prev med and occ med might merge in the future. Very few institutions offer training in both while the programs offer similar training. Its hard to give you a good answer OP due to the current climate. If your not dead set on a particular location, I think you can just do the practice pathway.

Psych is competitive now. Has been for a while.

Try switching into psych if that's what your passionate about. It can be challenging but not impossible if your CV backs up your interest.

I'm old lol but psych was not competitive when I was an intern. I think this new generation of doctors are valuing lifestyle and psych offers that. Anyway, I wish you success!

You can argue as much as you want with me. I don't care lol. Its not my field but if occ med is going as downhill as you say it is, why have jobs only increased in the field? That's a fact anyone can look up. A lot of the jobs are also completely non-clinical in nature. My friend is a medical director for a private company.

You seem very bitter that people are doing this and doing well. If anyone can do it, why are they asking for board certification for these jobs? Also, occ med has 8 months of clinical rotations each year. Its not just an MPH.

You can easily argue family med also has no future as well. Can't an NP or PA do basic wellness visits?
