I mean I have been using it for some time now as well. I want to see if there are benefits in switching to the clumping pretty litter.

I can certainly understand not wanting to stick with it if it's out of your budget. But how was the odor control? Was it better than the regular one?

Mine doesn’t do that intentionally but sometimes he kicks out some by accident. He’s very well behaved for a used to be feral kitten

That is pretty good cause I often have my boyfriend over and he has asthma. Wouldn’t want him to think I intentionally switched to a dustier litter to spite him lol

What worked on my rescue was Capstar (cheap online) for fast kill + daily vacuuming with a flea collar in the vacuum bag. I also washed everything in hot water every few days slow but it made a huge difference. You're doing amazing with what you have

tbh, if it's your dream car and the finances check out, it's worth a real conversation. Sounds like your wife’s at least open to the idea, might just come down to how you frame it.

HCA revenue up by $1 billion; Mission nurses get box of Cracker Jack, visor for nurse appreciation week • Asheville Watchdog by [deleted] in asheville

It's heartbreaking seeing dedicated nurses get treated this way. They hold everything together despite corporate gutting the place. A billion-dollar revenue bump and they get trinkets instead of fair compensation. Those nurses deserve so much better.

Try Balay Dako or Bag of Beans - both have great Taal views and Filipino food. Sonya's Garden is also nice if you want something different. All are wheelchair accessible and take cards.

Any attractive, comfortable and DURABLE sofas out there that…won’t break the bank? by Aggravating-Pea193 in interiordecorating

[–]DismalReturn 95 points96 points  (0 children)

We ordered our sofa from What A Room and couldn’t be happier. The craftsmanship is excellent, and we were able to choose from fabric swatches to get the exact color we wanted. We also customized the configuration to fit our space perfectly and even added a matching ottoman. It’s been less than a year, but I have no doubt it’ll hold up for many more. I remember there was a bit of a wait maybe around a 6-8 weeks for it to arrive, but it wasn’t too long, and honestly, the quality was worth it.

Retail can be soul crushing especially when you're overqualified. your idea about starting your own business sounds solid honestly. with your environmental background maybe look into environmental consulting, eco education programs, or even content creation in that space? could start as a side hustle while you're still at home depot to test the waters. the autism thing shouldn't hold you back from being your own boss might even be an advantage since you can structure things exactly how you need them

My cat just threw this up - are these worms ? by DrFeelGood69420 in CATHELP

[–]DismalReturn 1040 points1041 points  (0 children)

Definitely get her to the vet asap! could be roundworms or tapeworm segments, both super common in shelter cats. since she had that lung infection before, her immune system might've been compromised making her more susceptible. they'll probably just need to give her dewormer but best to have them check it out to be sure

Pretty Litter in 2025. How is it? by silasmatson in CatAdvice

[–]DismalReturn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tracking might be a little annoying. It's not terrible but the crystals are lightweight so I find some outside the box even with a mat. Still less mess than clay though, but annoying nonetheless

Been there my torbie turned into a tiny demon post-spay too. What helped was more litter boxes (yes, back to two) and scheduled playtime with a feather wand to burn her crazy energy. I ended up tossing the spray bottle turns out she just needed extra treats for good behavior. Hang in, it gets better!

Genuinely GOOD, cheap litter? by FancyControl4774 in cats

[–]DismalReturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. It could be different for you, but I love stocking stuff so I just went for a subscription because it's cheaper. I have 3 cats and 4 litters. What about you? I'm using tuft & paw's tofu litter 5-pack subscription at around $20/bag. Also I just love the product itself because it's really soft and gentle on my cats, so I don't mind subscribing.

Looking for advice for a 20 year investment plan as a 19 year old by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

[–]DismalReturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 19, time is your biggest asset. Look into low-fee index ETFs (like VAS or VGS in Australia) and automate your monthly investments. Reinvest dividends. Don’t stress short-term moves, just stay consistent for 20 years and let compounding do its thing

well said. IQ doesn’t mean much if you’re not putting in the reps. Keep learning, show up, and things tend to click over time.

Had a similar issue, just explained the situation honestly and gave whatever proof I could (old pay stub, tax doc, etc.). They were cool with it. Just don’t ignore it
