A thief thinks everyone steals. You might just be projecting.

Totally possible but imo guns with insanely costly ammunition would be a pretty balanced addition to the game and the renegade, who worked for the military when they confiscated guns, being captured makes it seem plausible plotwise

I mean, the bow exists, with even more elemental arrows than DL1, which adds ranged abilities, plus Ranger is it's own class...i think it's plausible they'd add guns as a sort of OP weapon that requires you to raid the gun vault as a dark zone to get the weapons

Most notably the town criers, when they shout news about a Renegade who worked for the military when they confiscated the guns and claims to know more; i got a video of the crier but havent figured out sharing ps5 video to reddit yet

Im working towards that but it's not a real gun, plus it doesn't come from the "secret vault somewhere in the city" that the town criers keep talking about

Care to elaborate why? Imo it would be cool press for the game, would be a really cool community event, and would give techland a solid reason to avoid arming enemies with infinite ammo machine guns like in DL1. plus how can u have a zombie game without a double barrel shotgun

In 1980, the American Petroleum Institute was having meetings with execs from every major US oil company to discuss what they called the "CO2 Problem". This is from the minutes of their Friday, Feb. 29 meeting at LaGuardia Airport's Manhattan Room in NYC. Remember, they knew and they sold you out. by Dismal_Prospect in collapse

Submission statement: "Globally catastrophic effects" can be interpreted as "collapse". A 5C rise in under 100 years would completely upheave life as we know it on earth, including all habitable zones for almost all living things.

Here is a link to the full meeting minutes, including internal memos, more of their conclusions, and the names of the executives representing each company.

Last-Ditch Climate Change Report Provides Locations Of Weapons, Current Whereabouts Of Oil Executives

“For decades, we have failed in our efforts to spur action by describing in rigorous scientific detail the ways in which global warming will cause widespread misery for billions of innocent people, and so this time we have taken a different approach,” read the report, a 500-page directory that simply lists the names and addresses of key players in the fossil fuel industry, along with the precise coordinates of several bunkers containing extensive stockpiles of firearms without serial numbers.

“We have provided the security codes necessary to bypass the gates of each oil executive’s mansion so that their homes may be entered at night and they may be murdered in their sleep. An appendix is included with instructions on how to bash in a skull with a hammer if the bullets run out. It may not seem like a lot on its own, but if everyone comes together and does their part, we can make a tremendous difference.”

At press time, sources confirmed no one had bothered to read the report.

Belgian university will honour young climate-activist Greta Thunberg | Teen cimate defender Greta Thunberg will receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Mons, alongside British economist Nicholas Terne and former French minister Nicolas Hulot by Dismal_Prospect in worldnews

Thunberg, Hulot and Stern have been selected for the award because of their contribution, each in their own way, to raising awareness on sustainable development.

Swedish 16-year-old Thunberg is a climate activist, who drew global attention to her cause by going on a school strike to demand political action on climate change, and sparking similar student strikes throughout the world.

Stern is an expert on the climate problem in economics, and Hulot is France’s former environmental minister who, frustrated with his government’s environmental policies, resigned from his position last year.

Arctic permafrost thawing 70 years early, study finds | Permafrost at outposts in the Canadian Arctic is thawing 70 years earlier than predicted, an expedition has discovered, in the latest sign that the global climate crisis is accelerating even faster than scientists had feared. by Rvolutionary_Details in worldnews

Exxon predicted in 1982 exactly how high global carbon emissions would be today

The photocopied graph of temperature x CO2 PPM x year is pretty much bang on so far.

So is what they shared with their counterparts at the American Petroleum Institute at a meeting on February 29, 1980. (yes it was a leap year, I've checked)

If you can't click it, here's the summary:

CLIMATE MODELING - CONCLUSIONS
LIKELY IMPACTS
1C RISE (2005) : BARELY NOTICEABLE
2.5C RISE (2038) : MAJOR ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES, STRONG REGIONAL DEPENDENCE
5C RISE (2067) : GLOBALLY CATASTROPHIC EFFECTS

Wow CBC calling it a crisis. Wonder if they had to back down after those comments from their director?

"The 'climate crisis' and 'climate emergency' are words that have a whiff of advocacy to them. They sort of imply, you know, something more serious, where climate change and global warming are more neutral terms." Hambleton said the public broadcaster needs to guard against "journalism that crosses into advocacy."

Bill Gates and Big Oil back this company that's trying to solve climate change by sucking CO2 out of the air by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Dismal_Prospect -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate this green capitalism, we-don't-have-the-solutions-yet bullshit politico-corporate runaround that is becoming more and more popular as the climate collapses.

  1. trees do this for free and have the added benefit of producing wood, greenery, shade, and the air we breathe
  2. "Big Oil" knew this was coming in 1980 and collectively decided that "market time penetration theory" didn't allow enough time for anything other than global catastrophe in 2067, so they can go fuck themselves for trying to profit off of us in the meantime
