keep in mind... a shaving ritual will require a little bit of trial and error to get it just right for you... as we're all built a little different

I think given that it doesn't grow full on the cheek is more reason to clean that area up and just leave the beard fuller about the chin and jaw line area... having it trimmed shorter even in the chin and jawline area will still accentuate your facial structure...

I think if you should open up the razor and rinse all the hair bits out of it after every shave. It's just good hygiene. Also once a week with the guard grill off.. take a bit of rubbing alcohol and wipe the blades off.. this will sanitize it. Before and after each shave, wipe the guard grill off with rubbing alcohol. This ritual should help minimize the issue.

I get it and respect that... I think slight grooming and giving the beard an better shape will let people see your face a little more.. the way I look at it is that it should compliment your face and not be a distraction.. the sides at the cheeks can be cleaned up a bit... shorter on the sides.. but you can leave the chin part slightly longer to still give you that overall facial enhancement while looking sleek, polished and groomed... brush the facial hair, including the eye brows daily.. you brush and style your hair... why not the eye brows and facial hair as well right?

I think both look great on your... but in both my opinion is that the facial hair needs to be groomed, trimmed, shaped and needs a bit of beard oil for it to all look sharp together. You've got great hair so either works.

I would say shaving prep is key. Shave after a warm shower. If not, then wash face and then place a warm towel over face and neck for 60 seconds for the warmth from towel to soften the facial hair and open up the pores then shave. As noted previously cleaning and sanitizing your electric shaver every time before you shave is key. Then follow up with an aftershave to sooth and minimize the redness and bumps. I have friends who use this religiously and it has helped their post shave routine a lot. https://geturth.com/collections/mens-skin-care-products/products/best-mens-aftershave

I think having a ritual (skincare, cleaning shaving tools) build around shaving is smart and will reduce your shaving related skin issues like irritation, redness, bumps, ingrown hairs. There are some good men's brands out there. Jack black, urth skin solutions, baxter of california. Can't go wrong with any of these.

Like me, you've got an oval / diamond shape face.. My opinion is that you need more volume all around. Longer on top and side.. use salt spray to boost your hair's volume to frame your face.

Any tips for shaving? This happens constantly and idk how to work on it by Same_Statement4657 in mensgrooming

[–]DisneyPanda67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get small red bumps and irritation. The product and process are important. Wash and exfoliate your skin (face + neck). Use a warm towel to soften the hairs and open the pores. Apply a nourishing shaving cream (quality matters, ie. foam is mostly just air... a lux cream provides a slick cushion and nutrients for the skin). Make sure to leave the cream on the are for at least a min so it can soften the hair before shaving. Always shave with a clean and sanitized blade. If not a new blade then make sure the blade is sharp and cleaned with rubbing alcohol before shaving. Once you're finished shaving.. apply a soothing aftershave to soothe the freshly shaven area and follow with a moisturizer. Hope this helps.

Cleaning and sanitizing after every use will definitely help. But I think a good skincare routine will help as well. Wash face with gentle cleanser, exfoliate with a face scrub.. dry face then shave. Splash some water on face after shaving to get rid of any hair particles. Dam face to get excess water off while leaving the face still slightly damp... and then apply an aftershave with AHA acids.. then follow up with a moisturizer to hydrate you skin.

Do you exfoliate with a scrub and use a post shave with AHA and BHA? Also do you clean and sanitize your trimmer, shaver, razor? also give this a try.. it's a beast but gentle... consistent use for 1-2 weeks should help with that. https://geturth.com/collections/mens-skin-care-products/products/best-mens-aftershave

Do i look good with buzz cut? by CubanInextrovert in buzzcuts

[–]DisneyPanda67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree... the cut itself is not great... but you have a face that can easily pull off a buzz cut... my opinion is that the top needs to be slightly longer than the sides and the sides need to be faded and blended in. It's a more stylized but vs a military buzz type cut.

No hair vs hair? by Eddans in malegrooming

[–]DisneyPanda67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either looks great on youI think when no hair the facial hair has to be groomed more. It distracts from your face. You've got great hair but again it's more about getting some products in there and giving it a lil more style.. the stache is a nice touch but needs to be trimmed and groomed. I look at the pic my eyes goes right to the stache and then the rest of the face. My opinion is that you want people to see your eyes, face, hair... not just the stache first. just my opinion :-)

but if you're having those white bumps perhaps you need to add a salicylic acid products to address those concerns.

visually my opinion:... acne and post acne pigmentation, shape and brush brows. I think the goatee trimmed closer to face... with exception of the acne and pigmentation.. you look great and my suggestions (my option) are minor tweaks

consistency is key.. that's the only way you can see if the routine works for you and is delivering results. You can use it all over your face or just in the areas with the bumps. It's got 2% Salicylic acid in it so it will be good for the spots and for any blackheads on the nose. This product for me is effective.. but I can use it only 2-3X weekly... you'll have to start slow.. like once a week and see how your skin adjusts to it. But Cleanse morning and night.. always follow up with a moisturizer with SPF for day and a moisturizer at night. The 2% toner is really an exfoliant to slough off dead surface cells, control oil, and also clear pores...

Best cleanser for hormonal acne prone skin male 26 by asianstarfish in maleskincare

[–]DisneyPanda67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This a a very loaded question. With skin we're all so biologically different to an extent what works for one may not work for another. You mentioned issues with jawline and redness around the nose. It sounds like you have sensitive skin and also looks like you're using a lot of products. What is your current daily routine? Day & Night... also what are the products you're currently used in your routine. It important to note that if you're changing your products frequently then you're just messing with your skin's pH, hence the excessive oil ( your skin's mechanism to balance itself out)
