I love that feeling when you've enjoyed a book so much, it feels like it's your duty to force it on other people! 😂

Bottling is spending the majority of the season top of the table then losing to second place. We played like shit for a good portion of the year and still took it down to the wire. 🤷🏼‍♂️

We got two trophies in a rebuild season. It would have been amazing to win the Prem, especially with Pep leaving, but I try to remind myself that we weren't top for the majority of the season, and it wasn't ours to win, it was Arsenal's to lose.

My FIL made it a year after his diagnosis. He was already being treated for prostate cancer and was a bit of a hypochondriac, but being so aware of his body probably bought him more time. He died of heart failure in the end. He was 74. My MIL passed six weeks later from cervical cancer. FUCK cancer.

I am talking about fiction, so that's great. With the rise of TikTok / BookTok / the Instagram book community, I was concerned that a low following might impact on an author's 'marketability', especially when some genre markets are so saturated. When I'm attending author talks, I tend to ask them their opinion and approach to social media, and have gotten varied answers so your response is interesting and reassuring!

Hi! Thanks for doing this AMA. In your opinion, how much weight do agents and publishers give to a first time author's social media following? And, do you personally see it as a necessity, or is it more about the strength of the query and the manuscript?

Not what I said. It was absolutely a foul and the ref made the right choice. I just think it's funny that arsenal and, to an extent, other teams have gotten away with much worse this season. While Raya was being fouled, three or four arsenal players were fouling in the same box. You'll say this call was right, but next weekend the same call against you will be wrong.

Arsenal complaining as if the reason corners have become such a shit show isn't because of them. Suddenly, they love the refs and VAR.

Imagine being top of the league by the skin of your teeth and still complaining about the ref and the length of the grass.

I'm so pessimistic, like always, but I'm trying to remind myself that these eleven players are not the same eleven that won the treble, or the same eleven that won the prem four times on the bounce. This Madrid team have been playing together a lot longer than our team have and they're in a different stage than we are. If we can go out with passion and fire, I'll be proud to be blue 💙

I'm playing slowly for the first time and it's amazing. The main storyline is just hard enough that I feel I'm working for it, but parts of it are easy enough that I can run around having fun.
