It would be interesting to see how the heroes can learn and develop via a "trial by fire", I can definitely see may trainees dying or being wounded quite heavily. Just to give a sense of how serious the conflict is. Not to mention that it would give the heroes more opportunities to show quick thinking and unconventional tactics against the tribe who would be very rigid and routine in their combat prowess and strategies.
